I been waiting to write a review for Dr Hooman Neman for about 2 years but couldn't remember his name until now that i return to his office. For years I had issues with my front two teeth, had a noticeable crack on both. That all change once i came into this office and met Dr Hooman Neman and he gave me back the smile i wanted, I really can't thank him enough for a life changing result , I can now smile with confidence without trying to hide my teeth.

I would highly recommend him to all my family and friends and i sure will be coming back to see him, thank you again Dr Hooman Neman, God bless you.

After searching for a dental office in my neighborhood which had decent reviews, I chose this place as my provider. Let me tell you-- this was a HUGE mistake. My first visit was on 12/6, and I was ecstatic to finally have my yearly cleaning at a new dental office. As I walked in, I was greeted and everything seemed to go well. The dentist came and did my cleanings, and after he was done, he told me that he will find out if my insurance will cover a deep cleaning appointment (a separate appointment). A week later, I receive a call from 82nd ST Dental and the lady on the phone tells me "the insurance will cover half and you will need to pay $87 out of pocket. " I've never had to pay out of pocket with my insurance, so I told them that I will let them know later if I want to schedule an appointment. Finding that paying $87 out of pocket seemed a bit suspicious, I called my insurance company and told them everything that 82nd St Dental had told me over the phone.

The insurance lady told me that the preauthorization for the deep cleaning was actually approved, meaning that 100% of the deep cleaning service was going to be covered by insurance. Additionally, they informed me that the whole cost of the deep cleaning that the insurance was going to cover was $87. After receiving this new information, I called 82nd St dental and told them about what I had discovered; upon hearing this, they replied that they are not under the insurance plan anymore. So then why did they mention that "insurance was going to cover half" a few minutes ago? LIARS. HOW OUTRAGEOUS! So basically they wanted me to pay for the whole thing out of pocket, with the false pretense that "the insurance was only covering half. " When I notified my insurance about everything, they said that the whole dental office is stating "LIES AND FALLACIES" and that they actually still are IN NETWORK with the insurance plan. I believe that the dentist wanted to claim money from the insurance claim, along with the out-of-pocket charge he tells patients to pay (by lying to them and telling them that their insurance will not cover their treatment). All this dentist cares about is money in his pocket.

Additionally, when I asked them about next steps, they told me that I should look for a new dental provider and that they would email me my full teeth x-ray images (so that I could give them to my new dental provider). However, they sent me the WRONG PATIENT'S x-rays; it even stated a different patient's name and address, which is clearly a violation of patient privacy. I called 82nd Street Dental AGAIN and notified them of their error, to which they replied, "no, it is yours. " How are they my x-rays when it CLEARLY states a different patient's information? Thinking that I would not confirm everything with my insurance company, they obviously did not think twice about trying to scam me. The 82nd Street Dental office, especially the front desk people, is the most unprofessional dental office I have ever encountered in my whole life.

I went in for just a cleaning. They ended up taking a bunch of x-rays that I did not ask for, like probably around 15-20. As soon as the dentist started working on my teeth he suggest to fix a small cavity, after doing so, he cleaned my teeth for maybe 10 minutes. The facilities don't look very clean compared to other dental offices I have visited.

If I could give no stars I would. The office personnel specifically a young girl named Carla was completely rude and obnoxious. I called ahead time to see whether they take my insurance and she clearly stated that they did and in fact I gave her my number to check eligibility and benefits. She said I was covered and gave me an appointment time. I traveled all the way from Long Island the same day I made the appointment to see the doctor.

Little did I know that when I came she said that they don’t accept my insurance. She blamed what she considered a language barrier for miscommunication when I can clearly speak English and Spanish. She called me a piece of trash and started threatening me as I attempted to complain to a supervisor about their employee’s negligence and incompetence.
