Detailed Introduction

Adolescent & Pediatric Dentistry PC is a specialized dental clinic located at 610 S Tillotson Ave Ste. 200, Muncie, IN 47304. The practice is dedicated to providing comprehensive oral healthcare for infants, children, and adolescents, typically up to age 18, including those with special health needs. The clinic emphasizes creating a positive and comfortable experience for young patients, understanding that early positive dental experiences are crucial in preventing lifelong dental anxieties. The clinic is led by Dr. Michael Musal, who has over 20 years of experience treating young children and adolescents. He received his dental degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1996 and completed a two-year pediatric dental residency at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. Dr. Musal is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. The team also includes other skilled dentists and hygienists, such as Dr. Chermol and Vanessa (a hygienist), who are frequently praised in patient reviews for their patience, friendliness, and educational approach. Services offered at Adolescent & Pediatric Dentistry PC encompass a wide range of pediatric dental treatments. These include routine dental cleanings and exams, fluoride treatments, and dental sealants for prevention. They also provide restorative dental treatments for cavities and other issues. A significant aspect of their practice is patient and parent education, focusing on proper home oral hygiene, healthy eating habits, and the prevention of dental problems. They are trained to monitor growth and development to anticipate and address dental issues early, and can also provide advice on habits like thumb-sucking. For children who may experience anxiety, the clinic aims to use child-friendly language and create a welcoming atmosphere. Patient testimonials consistently highlight the staff's professionalism, kindness, and ability to make children feel at ease.

as you can see from other reviews, they're not really pediatric friendly. they don't care to be kind to children, they're focused on profits and rushing things along. which is odd because they aren't very busy. they took a quick look at my toddler's teeth, said SIX would need pulled and four would need fillings. no xrays or anything beyond brushing with a tiny amount of toothpaste and calling it a day. FIRSToff. this isn't my first rodeo with a toddler who unfortunately developed teeth with weak enamel.

none of these teeth are so bad they need pulled, they are all crown eligible and feasible. my best friend is a dentist, currently practicing in Des Moines Iowa. i live in a different state but their input is valued and valid- just based off pictures alone which is about on par for what this dentist has seen, my trusted consultant of a best friend agrees pulling the teeth of a toddler awake in office is unethical. valium is not a valid substitute to the logical route of general anesthesia to reduce harm to the child. nor is subjecting a small child to restraint without comfort of the presence of a parent ethical. do not trust any medical professionals dental or otherwise whom believe not in the value of mental health nor understand the eternal impact of trauma. secondly, this dentist seem hard up for financially and willing to do anything to rectify their financial pitfalls.

verily shady vibe about them. I would not, unless you have absolutely no other options, trust their judgment nor bring my child of any age to this dentist. for your child's safety, and your peace of mind, i highly recommend literally anywhere else. oral health is extremely important, don't let shady practitioners scare your children away from staying proactive about it.

Hi my name is Sy’Briel and I been going here since I was a baby! I highly recommend this place. I have seen the bad reviews but coming from someone who lived a poor poor not so good life theses people are amazing!!! And never once did I feel not important or not taken care of. Like and I’m a nobody so why do my teeth matter…. When I was a kid I was harder to handle but I am 20 now and I’m sitting in the building as I type and I see nothing but a clean environment and respectful women at the front.

It never smells it’s never dirty and they are always on top of their game. When kids are in here they have a little play area and a tv with cartoons. It a peaceful in here and not super packed. They get you in so you don’t wait a year for cleaning and I never have once seen anyone being treated rudely ever.

Kids don’t like this place bc they give shots so yes it will be a little hard especially if it’s not your child. They aren’t here to have a play date they are here to do their jobs. Come on if you don’t like it go somewhere else. But I Recommend this place to many people and see a lot of black people like myself in here so it’s definitely isn’t what people say on here!!

NONONONO Terrible with kids, not up to date with current medical practices (pushing to use Vallium on a 3 year old), only offering silver fillings. This place was a nightmare!

We've been coming here for almost 20 years now. I love the staff and the dentist. And the way they treat our girls. We drive 40 minutes to come here, and it is worth it.
