I had three confirmed scheduled appointments for my 3 children today Monday July 22nd at 10:10am. The office is NOT open and I was never given a courtesy that the appointments had to be rescheduled or cancelled. Instead I drove my kids to the appointment and low and behold they were closed.

No answering the phones and believe me I called over a dozen times. This is NOT how you treat your patients who have been with you for years!!!!! I will be looking elsewhere to take my kids especially since Dr Maddux has retired.

My children had a scheduled appointment for Saturday. I received a confirmation email a week before and the Wednesday before the appointment. On the Thursday before the appointment they called me and left a VM saying they won’t be in the office on Saturday and to call and leave a voice message so they can try calling me again. (What?!) I called and left a voice message that same Thursday.

I didn’t get a call back all day on Friday or today Monday. I called again and once again my call went straight to voicemail. I am not mad about a last minute cancellation, things happen, I am extremely frustrated about how much of an inconvenience re-scheduling an appointment that I didn’t cancel is turning out to be. We have been seeing Dr.

Maddox for years and we used to love the practice. He recently retired and during our last appointment we had a rude and sarcastic dental hygienist work with our 6 year old, I wanted to give the practice a second chance, my kids are familiar with the setting and the routine, that was worth giving them a second chance to see if they could get things organized with the change in staff but looks like it’s just not what it used to be. We will be going with a different practice since it’s now clear this place is not what it used to be.

Laughable that I am being thanked for choosing this practice and being asked for a rating when appointment was completely blown off. I am very disappointed to see this practice going downhill so quickly. I saw Dr. Maddox as a child and have taken my daughter here for 13 years, as of today she has a new dentist.

I understand that you are short dentists, but not even a call to let me know there would be no appointment? I am very sorry for Dr. Maddox as he was truly amazing, we are very sad to go but it seems like it is time.

This location has got to be the most irresponsible dental office I've ever heard of. They called me (caller ID linked me here so it was easy to match the number with the name) and immediately started talking about how I owed money to Affiliated Dental. Mind you, I've never heard of this company nor do I live in Gurnee. On top of that, I'm STILL shopping around for a new dentist after switching insurers so I haven't even gotten my regular teeth cleaning. At no point did the lady ask me for my name. I waited for her to finish this little speech and told her, "I've never even heard of you. Who are you calling for?" She said the person's name.

I told her my name is not that name. THAT should have been the FIRST thing she said BEFORE she started talking about billing. If you are going to this dental office, make sure they don't tell all of your business. There was no apology. No admitting that she should've asked for my name. All around terribly irresponsible call.
