I feel truly blessed to have found Dr. Alfonso and his team, after searching for a prosthodontist who participates with Guardian and is in Upper Manhattan. His initial exam was thorough and his plan was reasonable and doable (and frankly, very smart). He was comfortable building on work I had done 6 years earlier, and did not propose to destroy my existing work, not did he suggest cutting corners. His office (which is bilingual, English and Spanish) prepared a prior authorization for my insurer.

Sometimes it can a week or two to get an appointment (especially the first one), and the office is a bit unusual -- individual chairs separated by cabinets, rather than individual rooms. But Dr. Alfonso's priority seems to be in top equipment, supplies and a range of techniques. He has a lab and technician on premises so he can create temporary crowns on site. His staff are lovely.

His work is top notch; he takes great pride in his work, keeps up in his field, and seems to enjoy his patients. He keeps his word; he is empathetic and knowledgable and a sweet, delightful, professional dentist.
