Going to a dentist can be a scary experience for young kids but I don’t recall my 6 year old daughter not wanting to come back to her dentist. Thanks to Dr. Ghumman and his team for making it such a wonderful experience. Highly recommend !!!

If you're considering orthodontic treatment for yourself or a loved one, I advise caution when choosing Align Orthodontics. My experience there was disappointing, and I want to share my story to help others make an informed decision. I initially went to Align Orthodontics to correct my bite and address TMJ issues. However, after a year of treatment with no noticeable improvement, I decided to discontinue my care and seek treatment elsewhere. Upon leaving, I was surprised by unexpected charges that were not clearly communicated to me beforehand. For example, I was not informed about the costs of bonding and debonding brackets, which turned out to be $2,100 and $900, respectively. These fees were not outlined in my original contract, and I only learned about them almost a year after ending my treatment. Additionally, I was charged $350 or $200 per appointment, which I was unaware of until almost a year after ending my treatment.
These appointments often lasted less than five minutes with the orthodontist, and I had to wait 30 minutes just to see him, despite arriving on time for all my appointments. I was never informed of these costs beforehand, and $350/$200 is a high amount to be charged for such a short amount of time. The financial coordinator also brought up additional fees for appointments and services that I did not agree to. Despite requesting an invoice, I received multiple letters and phone calls demanding payment without proper documentation, such as an invoice. The final letter I received in September 2024 stated that my unpaid balance would be sent to a collections agency if not paid immediately. To protect my credit score, I reluctantly (and regretfully) paid a lesser agreed amount of $2,178. 75, but the lack of transparency and communication left me feeling frustrated and misled. While Align Orthodontics does a great job marketing themselves online and on social media, my experience did not reflect the quality of service I expected.
The hidden fees and lack of upfront communication about costs were major concerns. If you're considering orthodontic treatment, I recommend carefully reviewing all costs and agreements before committing. There are other practices in the Peel and York regions that may offer more transparency and better value for your money. I've attached images of documents and letters from their office for reference, which will help you (the potential client and patient) make an informed decision. I've blacked out some parts as they contain sensitive information.
