The clinic is very beautiful! Everyone treated us with respect and the staff was super friendly. However, if you have a child with special needs this is not a place for them. I indicated in the application that my son is autistic and I also mentioned this on the phone when confirming my appointment. I was told that we will get some extra time if needed. Unfortunately that was not the case. The dental hygienist was very patient however the doctor was not.

She came in and told us that my son needs to be physically restrained in order to check his teeth. My son is 4 and delayed in speech. Everyone was treating him like a neurotypical child when clearly he is not. They were talking to him and treating him like a kid who simply doesn’t want his teeth to be checked. I need to holding him down so that the doctor can check his teeth. Then she proceeded to lecture us on how to clean his teeth.

I expected more from this place. They do mention that they work with special needs kids. I disagree.

My kids had their first appointment here this morning and they loved it! We just moved to Illinois, and, while they really liked their old dentist, my kids were excited to meet the new dentist. The staff were so nice, they were awesome at communicating with the kids and made them so comfortable. So glad we made the choice for this practice.

Dr. Ursitti is amazing! Her staff is equally as caring and communicate really well. They want you as the parent to be comfortable as well as your little one. Well educated and felt safe with my child’s care.

As a mom of four I've been to a fair share of professional practices. All About Kids Dentistry is best in class and is second to none in their field. I had been taking my children to another practice in Arlington Heights for the past seven years, and I had been just making mental excuse after excuse to stick with them when every single time I just left the practice feeling dissatisfied. I had a true dental emergency for one of my sons on the weekend and could not get ahold of our current practice at the time which led me to calling about 15 different practices. Dr. Ursitti was the only one who told me she would help (even though we weren't a patient). She drove at 5pm on a Saturday night and opened up her practice to help my son. She was clearly dressed to the nines on her way to dinner downtown with her spouse, and she halted her plans to help us when no one else would. Since then I have brought my four sons to her practice for two separate exams/cleanings and have been more than pleased each time.

The office is clearly designed for kids. The space is clean and open. The front office staff is truly exceptional (I mean stopping what they are doing help turn on a nintendo switch. . yes they have video games if you need to occupy another child!) and the hygienists just take their job to the next level. You can feel the thought and detail that goes into everything. Once again today we came in for another exam for an injury to one of my kiddos front lip frenulum (he fell riding his new bike and it tore). Dr. Ursitti was able to numb him and use a laser to remove the skin with this advanced technology.

(She also handles baby tongue ties this way. ) Another stressful experience was solved on the spot by her and her skilled team. I just had to stop what I was doing and write a review because I'm just so thankful to this office. I can't imagine you finding a better practice anywhere else in the area, and again from a mom of four who has had nothing but positive experiences here I think you should give them a try. Ps. I have two kids on the spectrum and they were super patient and understanding. Could not have asked for more when they were working my with my neurodiverse children.
