I have been seeing Joanie and Dr. Allison since 2002. They are a great team. I’ve always been satisfied with my care and they make me and my family feel comfortable. 3 years ago, I moved an hour and a half away and I still drive twice a year to see them. They are worth it.

Dr. Allison did a root canal on me 10 months ago. Yesterday I had a root canal done by an Endodontist. What a difference! Dr. Allison gave me 4 shots for numbing and I still had alot of discomfort during the procedure. The root canal took 2 hours and I had pain for about a week afterwards. While the resulting root canal is technically OK, the whole experience was painful and negative. The Endodontist took 1 hour, only 2 numbing injections, no pain, and he had better equipment.

He took images before during and after the procedure. Dr. Allison did not do this. He also prescribed an anti-biotic, also not done by Dr. Allison. While Dr. Allison may be an OK general DDS, she should be referring her root canals.

Dr. Allison has performed root canal and crown work for me and she is an expert. She was constantly asking about my pain levels and very sensitive to my situation. As a result, I felt pressure, but that was it.

I have had a lot of crown work (call me a queen) and she is the best! Also, she completes the crowns in ONE DAY! She creates the crowns "in house" and so no TEMPORARY! that is huge! I have had temporary's and they always manage to fall out! Dr. Allison is caring and kind and a true professional with the most up to date equipment to best serve her patients. And her staff is great and caring too! HIGHLY recommend!

My wife, mother in law and I have been patients with Dr Allison for many years and can not say enough about the care we have received. We moved to the coast for 2 years and the dentist we saw in New Bern remarked on the exceptional work he observed on our teeth.

The Allisons were also so helpful with our daughter when she had a dental problem visiting from Boston during a holiday. We recommend them highly!
