Staff is courteous and personable. Dr. Ellis is attentive and professional. Bianca, at reception is beyond fantastic. Forgive me if I'm incorrect on name. You'll truly feel like you are part of their team while you are there. Everyone is welcoming and genuinely helpful through every aspect of each visit. Couldn't recommend more highly.

I would leave 0 stars if I could. Dr Ellis seems like a nice person. So does her staff. But when I made an appointment several months ago for a CLEANING I was under the impression I was going to get a CLEANING. Unfortunately in today's jacked up world that means "we're going to lie to you and schedule you for a cleaning but when you get here we're not actually going to clean your teeth". Instead they needed x-rays. I agreed, under the assumption I was going to still walk out that day with a CLEANING. Unfortunately these folks had no intentions on actually cleaning my teeth. Had I known this or been told this before I agreed to letting them zap my face with radiation for twenty minutes straight (and no offense to Marcy who gave the x-rays, but she didn't seem to know what she was doing and it took her several attempts to get the right image, which means more radiation than preferred - not a big deal to some, but to me it's not ideal) I would have saved both of our time and walked out then. Instead, it became all about trying to push products on me and up sale me, convincing me I needed deep pocket cleanings, despite the fact that I just had deep pocket cleanings within the last year from my previous dentist. Trying to sell me a water pick, and trying to convince me to call my insurance agent to buy dental insurance. I eat and live healthier than 99% of the ppl I encounter in every day life. . I don't eat anything with artificial sugar, I only drink water, and I brush my teeth daily. I know my teeth aren't perfect, and I know I get cavities from time to time despite my efforts, however, this place is out to rob people and I'm not going to remain silent. Before I left last week they told me my future dental work would be more than 6k.

I don't have insurance, and this is unrealistic for me at this time. I just spent over 4k out of pocket in the past two years on deep pocket cleanings and fillings at my previous dentist. I called Dr Ellis today to schedule my actual cleaning after thinking long and hard all weekend trying not to feel like I had just been robbed of $146 for x-rays and no cleaning. I was told that Dr Ellis refused to clean my teeth. I find it strange that a person can't just call a dental office and get a cleaning. It's a shame because when I lived in this area before, Dr Rauppel was a family friend and I had been going to him since I was young. Now I'm being strong armed to pay 6k for work that isn't even needed. Im sure some of you reading this may think I'm being obtuse, but I'm really not. I do not recommend going to this place unless you have the luxury of not caring how much they are charging your insurance. Why would they care? They are in it for the money just like everyone else these days. We live in a time where even doctors are starting to not give a damn about anything but money and I find that to be extremely shameful. If you go to this dentist please ask upfront what they are willing to do for you before you fork over your money. It's for your own good. UPDATE: Let me reiterate. . .

I got charged $148 without being told I wasn't getting a cleaning. You robbed me and you're trying to act like that's not what happened. I scheduled an appointment under the premise I was getting a cleaning. No one mentioned to me at the time of scheduling that there was a possibility of me not actually getting one. You sat me in the chair before discussing any of this with me. I could have just walked out and not paid but I didn't feel like that was the honorable thing to do because Im not a thief. I got the ole bait and switch. You know what you did. Probably used chat gpt to come up with that response. Refund my money if you want to make it right. Be more transparent up front. Funny you're saying you don't sell water piks when you clearly tried to push product on me even after I told you I had one that looked exactly like the one in your pamphlet. You were so thirsty for my money it was embarrassing. And who cares about how many times it took Marcy to zap me full of radiation right? Shameful.

Loosing our Dentist of 25 years was not easy. But, we now have a wonderful new dentist, Dr. Amanda Ellis D. D. S. who’s located in the Boardman-Canfield area. She is very experienced, professional, kind, patient, friendly and painless. Dr.

Ellis stayed after closing hours recently to help my husband who didn’t have an appointment and had a swollen face & terrible toothache; in a very short time he was better. She and her staff could not be nicer and more helpful from the reception area to the dentist chair to the door out. If you need a new dentist we highly recommend …. .
