I have been a patient here with Dr Ananthan for over two years now. I received ortho treatment and at first I loved everything about it and I was really impressed with their customer service and how they took care of their patients. While having my braces on I was in love with my smile and I had high hopes that I would love it when my braces came off as well. I received composite bonding while I had my braces on so I could see how my smile was coming along and what it would look like when I took my braces off. Fast forward, I got my braces off and I was really in love with my teeth. My alignment was amazing, they looked clean and the composite looked really great! Within a couple of months my bonding had already started chipping on my front tooth so I went back to get it restored. When Dr Ananthan restored it, I noticed that it wasn’t the same as it was before and the shaping was different.

It didn’t look like my other front tooth and I was a little worried. The same tooth chipped again and I went back again and again it didn’t look the same! This time he bonded my two front teeth together and he did the job so quick and didn’t even try taking his time to address my concerns. I went back AGAIN and told him I don’t want my front teeth bonded together as I can’t even floss. He removed the bond and then I noticed a space. I addressed this concern to him and he was informing me that my teeth pinched the gum in between my front teeth and it will grow back in. Then he was bringing the option of veneers to me and he kept insisting that it was the next best option for me even after I repeatedly told him I am not interested in veneers right now as I am a 20 years old student. Months later I am still left with a gap in between my front teeth, a gap in between my bottom front teeth, my front left tooth is slightly tipped forward and he told me that he would fix this but never did????, and my composite is cracked in multiple places along with overhangs.

Let me also address that it took them about a year to give me my plastic retainers even after I repeatedly told them that I never received them. I visited another dentist who informed me that the composite bonding was done with a lot of overhanging margins and over contoured restorations on my back molars. I really wanted to love this office but honestly after you complete your treatment and give them their money, they stop caring about you. Save your money and choose another dentist. This place is not worth it at all.

My name is Miriam Levey and I am not just a patient of Dr. Ananthan's. I was formerly employed many years ago as a Dental Hygienist for him. Both experiences have been positive but until you experience something as profound and life changing as I have experienced over the last couple of months for yourself, you wont fully understand until you go through such a process yourself. The physical and intellectual/emotional growth has profoundly impacted my life in an enormous and positive way I cant expess the level of gratitude I have for Dr Ananthan, Mina (his assistant) and other staff members! So, as I eagerly await my last appointment to commence, the purpose of my review is to share my experience for two main reasons. One, because I feel it is my continued responsibility to share what I know to be the best practices for achieving overall oral heath (although I am no longer a practicing hygienist) and two, it is the absolute least I can do to show how much I value and appreciate the time, care and consideration Dr. Ananthan and his equally competent, professional and friendly assistant Mina have provided me.

The renovation was the initial obvious difference I noticed right away. Everything seemed to match and by that I don't just mean the colour scheme or uniforms. What I mean by match I mean that the level of care I recieved fit with the sleek and modern designs of the actual office. As Mina guided me to their operatory, I curiously looked around to see what I had missed out on as a practicing hygieinist and to be honest I realized I was always provided with the best instruments and supplies to use as needed and as I suspected Dr Ananthan was still on point, sparing no expense for his patients. I noticed the E4D machine that fabricates crowns in-office eliminating the need for another appointment, was still there and knowing the state my mouth was in, I breathed a sign of relief knowing that I potentially needed MANY root canals and/or crowns and that was if Dr Ananthan could even salvage what was left in my mouth as a result of my inability to properly care for myself due to some health and personal issues I had been dealing with since leaving the office. I was extremely motivated to have the best care which allowed me to overcome the embarrassement I thought I would certainly feel once he saw the state of my mouth, as well as ensure I was on time as I was travelling 3 and a half hours despite many dental offices in Durham Region accepting new patients. I knew that he would have the most current equipment on hand, that he possessed exceptional knowledge, skills and judgement and that the quality and precision, following the systematic treatment planning that Dr.

Ananthan does beyond the walls of his operatory would be the best in the field but I was not expecting to be completely blown away by the level at which he is practicing. It's ridiculous how good he is and I want everyone to know that they would be foolish to go anywhere else to have ANY major restorative and or ANY aesthitic/cosmetic work as he is hands down the best at what he does. I knew he was good as I had worked for him and had first hand seen the differences that set him apart from any other dentist I had previously worked with. But to experience the entire process of restoring what I thought was going to begin with multiple extractions, root canals followed by crowns, and best case scenario implants in the future, I am extremely excited and truly cannot wait for my last of many systematic appointments carefully and thoughtfully planned by him which will complete not just a physical transformation but provide me with such a profound growth in my emotional well being and confidence that can only be truly understood by sharing a similar experience. It has had such a positive impact on me I tell everyone I see and feel like screaming it to the world. Thank you Sincerely Miriam Levey

Annamaria Battista

Dr Chen is awesome. I’ve never had someone give me a needle in my mouth as gentle as she does. Always asks if I’m okay several times through any procedure I have. Always explains what she’s about to do before doing it in my mouth. Afterwards she clearly explains anything I might need to have done and her recommendations. Though I never look forward to going to a dentist, she makes my experience easier. I had the pleasure of dealing with Dr Anathan while Dr Chen was on maturity leave and I was absolutely ecstatic with the service I received from him.

Not only is he humble, he is so informative and explains things so well. I had to get a crown put on my tooth and he was exceptional. I can’t say enough about him. He answered all my questions and thoroughly explained exactly what was needed and what was not needed. Look no further for a great dentist. You won’t be disappointed

I have been coming to the wonderful dental clinic for 28 years, I think that says it tall. Dr. Noel Ananthan and his outstanding staff are just simply the best, wouldn't change them for anyone. Thank you for all your care though all these years and keep up the fantastic work.
