Do not go to this dentist! After living my entire adult life with only one or two cavities, I moved to Virginia and started going to this dentist and suddenly needed all of this dental work - fillings, crowns, and now apparently have a fractured tooth. Every time I am in the office I feel pressured by staff to move forward with procedures that don’t feel needed. And yet every time I return there are new issues. These people feel like used car salesmen. I have spent so much money on my teeth in the past year.

Today I went in for a filling which turned into a crown which turned into a crown lengthening which turned into a crown lengthening and a repair to the crown on the tooth next to it (which they agreed to do as a courtesy) then I was told that the tooth under the removed crown was fractured and that would need a crown lengthening or a root canal and/or possibly a bridge which were all conveniently adding cost back into the equation for their courtesy repair. That’s when I pumped the brakes, called a relative who is a dentist (who advised me to get out the hell out of there and find a different dentist), and instructed them to just put the two crowns on so I could get out of there! I was in their office today for SIX. HOURS. SIX…………. HOURS………….

they are fortunate I didn’t need to take any medications or get to work or another appointment. I missed lunch entirely and was starving and thirsty and my dog was stuck at home in her crate. And because of the additional work (remember, I initially went in for a filling) I ended up being of out pocket 13x more than what I had planned to spend walking into the appointment (for what was supposed to be a simple filling). Never going back.

I do not recommend this office. The dentist here pushed me into getting a crown when a filling would've sufficed. This was my first cavity and I was unaware of the difference between the two. I failed myself by not researching myself and instead trusting that this dentist would have my best interest at heart.

This was clearly not the case. Please avoid and find a dentist who isn't constantly trying to chase a buck.

TLDR - strongly recommend avoiding this place This used to be a good practice but a few years ago took a turn for the worst. I'd never had any cavity issues before and suddenly every time I went in I had a new issue they said I needed to urgently fix. I listened to them a couple times, then spoke with three other friends who had the exact same experience - no prior issues then at the same point in time all of us started being told we needed expensive procedures every visit. I decided to give it one more shot and sure enough the next time I went in they told me I needed another crown. .

. so I decided to go elsewhere. Since switching dentists I've had no issues come up with my teeth, other than the crown Apex put in falling off. All my friends who used to go here have had the same experience.
