Worst teeth cleaning I’ve ever had in my life. I waited a little over an hour to be seen first of all. The doctor used a water pick to floss my teeth in 5 minutes, I waited another 10 minutes to get a polish put on my teeth which barely felt like the lady was touching my teeth. No other tools were used at ALL. Not a scrapper in sight.

They didn’t even floss me with real floss. Not to mention my very first appointment was only X-rays and the lady in the front pulled me to the side trying to push Invisalign on me which I said I did not want any time soon. She proceeds to try to get me on a payment plan as well as texted me about a cheaper payment plan. Very very pushy and off vibes.

I am really thankful to find the Art of Modern Dentistry at 1339 S. Michigan Avenue. I have been getting extensive work done and I never leave in pain. The staff make you feel very comfortable and the Doctors treat you nice and do great work.

I’m thankful and blessed to leave my old dentist and get with my new Dentistry Family. I am happy they’re making my smile beautiful again. (Thank you all❤️🙌🏾)

Customer service was terrible at my latest appointment. After being told same day I owed payment for a service I received 2 months ago all went down hill from there. No one ever notified me that I even had a balance and no one took the time to call me before hand. I did not have my FSA/HSA card and simply asked to pay later today or tomorrow. I was told yes then told I had to pay with any card I had immediately available then once home have it void/refunded and then pay with my HSA/FSA card.

That is preposterous and super inconvenient. There was ample time to call me during the day to notify me so that I could have prepared. In addition, today marked my 4th appointment to receive a crown that hasn’t been properly produced. Not once did I complain. I’ve been nothing but patient and accommodating.

I have never been a no call no show nor have I ever dodged payment. There was no consideration given to how I have been inconvenienced or how this was all last minute. In addition they also try to get you to purchase goods and services that you don’t need to spend all of your allocated FSA/HSA funds. Despicable!

I cannot recommend this dentist. I’ve been trying to make it work for a year and now I believe I just need to move on. It seems my care has been abandoned in the middle of treatment. During the last three months I’ve called the office several times and I’m promised a call back or text that never comes. Annoying, but not really critical, is I’ve never seen the same hygienist to clean my teeth. So, they clearly have a staff issue. I just like the continuity of building a relationship with the hygienist, so annoying to not have that here.

Additionally, I struggle to reconcile the line item amounts I’m pre billed for a service to the amounts they are billing my insurance and what my insurance says is my responsibility on each procedure. I’m being nice but I believe I’ve been heavily overcharged and I don’t have recourse since they are out of network. Lastly, twice I’ve been told that they didn’t provide a complete estimate for care when they first provided the estimate. So to finish the treatment will cost thousands more. It’s wrecked my budget. On an emotional level, it’s been the worst medical experience of my life. My partner has had similar experiences, promised care that wasn’t delivered.

Underestimated treatment plan cost. He is even more traumatized because he was left in so much pain he went into shock. We won’t be returning. After three months of trying, I just don’t want to engage further. I’m so disappointed.
