Detailed Introduction

Aspen Dental, officially known as Aspen Dental Management, Inc., is a prominent American dental support organization (DSO) that supports a vast network of Aspen Dental-branded dentistry locations. Founded in 1998, its headquarters are in Chicago, Illinois. Unlike a single individual practice, Aspen Dental functions as a robust network of independently owned dental offices, each operated by licensed dentists. The core of their business model is to provide extensive non-clinical support services to these dental practices, including marketing, staffing, patient billing, insurance negotiations, and technological infrastructure. This enables the dentists to dedicate their time and expertise to patient care without the burden of day-to-day business management. Aspen Dental offers a comprehensive array of dental services designed to meet diverse patient needs. These include general dentistry services such as routine check-ups, cleanings, fillings, and root canals. They also specialize in more complex procedures like tooth extractions and oral surgery. A significant focus for Aspen Dental is cosmetic dentistry, providing treatments like teeth whitening, veneers, dental crowns, and orthodontic solutions, including their exclusive Motto® clear aligners. Furthermore, Aspen Dental is well-known for its expertise in dentures and dental implants, often offering on-site denture labs for faster service and a variety of options to fit different budgets. A key aspect of Aspen Dental's mission is to enhance access to dental care, particularly for individuals who might not have a regular dental provider or face financial barriers. They often establish practices in areas identified as "dental deserts" where dental services are scarce. To make care more affordable, Aspen Dental offers transparent pricing, detailed treatment plans with written cost estimates, and a "Dental Savings Plan" which provides discounts on services for an annual fee, serving as an alternative to traditional dental insurance. Patient experience is emphasized, with a focus on providing comfortable and welcoming environments, addressing dental anxiety, and offering immediate and emergency care appointments. While individual experiences may vary, the brand aims to deliver consistent quality and patient-centered care across its widespread network.

I know that dental work is expensive but I felt they are on the high end with costs. When I had my cleaning done, the hygienist was a bit rough and a bit unprofessional with a couple of comments. The one dentist that I saw was a nice gentleman, but he too was rough. Ones mouth can only stretch so far before it hurts. Not impressed! Also.

had to see an oral surgeon for a couple of issues, but when I had a treatment plan concern I was not treated very well. Felt like staff did not care about my concerns and I finally got it through to them that I wanted to talk to the surgeon about the treatment plan. I was told they would contact me but i never got a call back. Then had to be faced with rude and unprofessional comments from the dental assistant as well.

If I could leave 0 stars I would! I came to Aspen dental to get my wisdom teeth removed as there’s not many options around here. They weren’t straightforward with the cost of everything and it never made sense. when I had my procedure done originally they were gonna do all four then the day of procedure told me I only needed two removed. I was told I would be refunded for the cost of the other two teeth and then when I woke up from anesthesia, they told me that they had to use more sensitive, and that it washed the payment.

They told me they wouldn’t charge me for an x-ray because they said they would accept my previous one and then charge me for X-rays. When I asked them for an itemized over the phone, someone told me it was “above their pay grade and was not able to do so. ” Come to find out I had dual coverage that I was unaware of, but Aspen knew and charged both insurance companies. I STILL had to pay $1700 out of pocket To get two wisdom teeth removed.

The cherry on top was I came in today on a Friday 05/16 to get the itemized printed off and they had the doors locked at 11:33 and they would not answer the phone even though it states they’re open until noon.

I am someone that has lots of anxiety about going to the dentist and they made it go very smooth even though I could not control my anxiety. They were very nice about it. My next appointment they’ll pull my teeth and I will be at ease because I’ll be sedated.

I found the people to be very nice. The only problem I had was the push for new dentures. I went in to have my dentures relined and they would not do it. I'm a 73 year old veteran living on $1462. amonth and I told them I couldn't afford new dentures.

I wonder if I wasn't worth there time or they just aren't capable to do the job. I'm not worrying about chewing food as I really would like to smile again. I haven't been able to do that in a long time and it's time for me to be able to smile again.
