Detailed Introduction

Aspen Dental is a prominent American dental support organization (DSO) that assists and manages Aspen Dental-branded dentistry locations across the United States. While the individual dental offices are independently owned and operated by licensed dentists, Aspen Dental Management, Inc. provides comprehensive administrative, operational, marketing, and training support. This model allows dentists to concentrate on patient care while the DSO handles the business aspects of the practice. The Aspen Dental location in Waukesha, WI, at 2320 E Moreland Blvd Ste A, is part of this extensive network. These clinics aim to serve individuals who may not have a regular dental provider or who face financial or other obstacles to accessing dental care. Aspen Dental practices offer a wide array of services, including general dentistry (such as routine check-ups, cleanings, fillings, root canals, and oral surgery like tooth extractions), and cosmetic dentistry (including teeth whitening, veneers, dental crowns, and their exclusive Motto® clear aligners). They also specialize in dentures and dental implants, with many locations featuring on-site denture labs for quicker service and a "Denture Money-back Guarantee" for patient satisfaction. Aspen Dental is committed to making dental care more accessible and affordable. They offer various financial solutions, including the Aspen Dental Savings Plan and assistance with dental financing and insurance. Their patient-centric approach often includes accepting walk-ins for emergencies and providing transparent treatment plans with a focus on patient education. Beyond individual patient care, Aspen Dental has a significant commitment to community involvement through initiatives like the "Healthy Mouth Movement," which provides free dental care to underserved individuals and veterans.

We arrived 5mins late to our appointment and were told that we have to reschedule as per your policy. We recently moved and we are still trying to find a dentist that is a good fit for my dental needs ( having had to get root canals/ crowns on several front teeth due to an accident years ago). One of those crowns is currently broken and needs to be fixed. We went to Aspen dental for a check up and essentially get a quote to replace said crown. As you may have gathered by now, I am a regular at the dentists' and I have never had to reschedule for being 5mins late. Most dental practices give a 10 min grace period for arriving late. We were told that it takes about 15mins to fill in paper work and 45mins chair time. Great! I can use 10mins to do the paper work instead of 15. And even if I don't complete the paperwork and the dentist is ready to see me, as per HIPPA i give consent to my husband who can complete the forms for me ( legally accepted and has been done several times in the past) while I go sit in the chair and see the dentist. I am still well within my time even though I am 5mins late. And we tried to explain this to the receptionist who didn't seem to understand.

She went and got the general manager who came up with something like " the dentist did not see you in at exactly the time you were supposed to be here so he went on to see another emergency patient". The appointment was at 11. 45 a. m. we arrived at 11. 53 a. m. while we were trying to understand why we had to reschedule for 1. 30 p. m - well somewhere in between, staff lunch was mentioned and 5 mins late, "dentist seeing an emergency patient", and rescheduling for 1. 30 p.

m- all of that became pretty obvious. If this is your lunch time, please do not schedule appointments around that time. We can understand that people get hungry and need a lunch break. We work too. We have to take time off to take care of our medical/other issues just like you. Sometimes we do it on lunch breaks and skip lunch as well. In no way am I trying to make an excuse for being late. But this situation right here looked like your time has more value than someone else's and you wouldn't even consider the courtesy 10min grace period every business gives.

This place is amazing! I developed extreme tooth pain and was able to get in at 8am the next morning. Every person I came into contact at Aspen Dental was very friendly and personable, and very sympathetic to the pain I was in. This will absolutely be my new dentist. Would recommend 10/10!

So much wrong with my situation. Started my denture journey at a different office that did not provide a good level of care. Was given 6 months (until may 23rd) to pay off the remainder of the balance on my package. Changed to the Waukesha office as it was closer and was told they would make things right for me. Had to come In for a soft reline and was told I had to pay $100 per arch for a reline, even though it is included in my package. I ended up paying (with much protest) because I just needed it done as my dentures were falling out of my mouth. 3 weeks later it was time for another soft reline as this one no longer fit and was falling off. I was told that my 6 month billing was done at another office and they would not honor that and I had to pay the balance before I could schedule for a reline. I paid the balance and called to schedule.

The lady at the desk told me that I should not be charged for the reline. Well I get there for my appointment (5 days later) and was told it was going to be $200. She said I’m sorry I was wrong but this is what the charge is going to be. I paid the $200 as I just needed the reline done. Barely 24 hours later, the reline was coming off of the dentures. I called to let them know and schedule a time to have it fixed. They said that relines are temporary and even though it didn’t last 24 hours I was going to have to pay again to have it redone. I called corporate and they confirmed that relines should be included in my package and should not be charged. It even says they are included on the website.

They stated that even if I had been continually charged for relines, I should not be charged again to have it fixed from falling off 24 hours later. I was told by corporate that they were escalating my issue and they would reach back out with some sort of resolution. I don’t have a lot of faith at this point, but what I will say is that with my experience from the beginning I absolutely would not recommend them to anyone. I wish I had gone somewhere else for my journey. I will update after I receive something back from corporate. Hopefully they get the Waukesha office to operate in good faith.
