Detailed Introduction

Aspen Dental is a prominent brand in the dental industry, operating as a network of independently owned and operated dental practices across the United States. These practices are supported by Aspen Dental Management, Inc. (ADMI), a dental support organization (DSO). This model allows dentists to focus on patient care while ADMI handles the administrative, marketing, and operational aspects of the business. Aspen Dental aims to break down barriers to dental care by offering a wide range of services with an emphasis on affordability and accessibility. Their services include general dentistry (check-ups, cleanings, fillings), cosmetic dentistry (teeth whitening, veneers, clear aligners like Motto®), restorative procedures (crowns, bridges, dental implants, dentures), and various specialty treatments such as oral surgery (extractions, wisdom teeth removal) and endodontics (root canals). Many locations feature on-site denture labs for quicker service. A key aspect of Aspen Dental's approach is making dental care accessible, especially to individuals who may not have a regular dental provider or face financial constraints. They offer various payment options, including dental financing, accepting dental insurance, and their own Aspen Dental Savings Plan, which provides discounts on services for an annual fee. They also emphasize convenient scheduling, including walk-ins for emergency care and same-day appointments. While Aspen Dental generally receives positive feedback for its accessibility, friendly staff, and financing options, some patient reviews mention concerns regarding potential upselling of services or variations in the quality of care across different franchised locations. Despite this, Aspen Dental continues to be a significant provider of dental care, particularly in regions identified as "dental deserts," fulfilling a crucial role in the U.S. healthcare system.

Do not use Aspen Dental there are so many bad reviews I don't even know how they are still in business. Fortunately for me I recognized their sheisty incompetent service right away. I took my wife to a location located on the Southside of Des Moines IA for tooth pain after X-rays and examination the dentist stated she had an infection and told her she would send a prescription for Antibiotics and pain medication to our pharmacy. Before we left a finance person wanted to discuss further procedures which would be deep cleaning (root planing and scaling below the gum line) to the tune of $3600.

00 dollars at which I balked. My wife wanted her bad tooth pulled but this finance chick wasn't too concerned about that or her pain she was focused on this $3600. 00 deep cleaning. When we did leave they told us they would send in the prescription to our pharmacy in about an hour.

Low and behold the prescription was never sent in. I have a feeling this was intentional because I wasn't receptive to that $3600. 00 dollar deep clean the finance person was so intent on. I tried to call them back but they were closed but I left them a really nice message 😡

I called them because I wanted to have a baby tooth pulled. I told to whoever I talked to that I had insurance and that my insurance told me I was covered. I arrived there 20 mins before my appointment and waited for almost an hour to be seen.

To be told that I have to pay in full for the service and afterwards file claim with my insurance to be reimbursed which was a big NO for me. I think that they should explain that to their new patients before making then spend unnecessary time.

If I could give zero stars I would. My apt was at 11:30. I waited a whole hour after to be seen. Two people who came in after me were called back before I was. When I was called back It looked like part of the ceiling was going to cave in, and the floor looked dirty and unkempt. They do your apt in the same room as another client. Not really any privacy but a small cubicle wall you can still hear and see very clearly through. When they were all done I was told a single tooth implant would be 10g, not counting a bone graft if I were to need it would start at 10g.

The "good" news was that I could finance that 10g with them. I immediately told them not a chance. I left feeling the waste of 2 hrs of my life. I had a feeling I should of just canceled the apt before I arrived. I should of stuck with my gut feeling. Aspen dental couldn't even give me a ballpark estimate of the cost over the phone. It's a gimmick to get people in the the door then tell them about all this dental work they need done but be indirect about a quote on the phone. The excuse they give is everyone is different we need to examine you first but they couldn't even tell me if I would need a bone graft after the exam.

They gave just a ballpark est of 10k for one tooth. I can say a implant is expensive but all the places I called were upfront with me over the phone and didn't waste 2hrs of my life I can never get back. Aspen touts affordable dental care but 10g is not affordable. 10g is only affordable if you use 50 dollar bills to wipe your ass! I am also not gonna sign my soul away to finance a tooth implant. Thanks, Aspen Dental.
