Detailed Introduction

Aspen Dental, founded in 1998, operates as a large-scale dental support organization (DSO) that provides administrative and business support services to a vast network of independently owned and operated dental practices across the United States. While each Aspen Dental branded practice is owned by a licensed dentist, Aspen Dental Management, Inc. (ADMI) handles non-clinical aspects such as marketing, operations, human resources, payroll, and procurement, allowing dentists to focus primarily on patient care. The core mission of Aspen Dental is to break down barriers to dental care, particularly for individuals who may not have a regular dentist or face financial obstacles. They emphasize accessibility and affordability, often situating practices in areas with a high need for dental providers. Their comprehensive range of services includes general dentistry (checkups, cleanings, fillings), restorative procedures (crowns, bridges, root canals), dentures (various types, including implant-supported), dental implants, and clear aligners (Motto® clear aligners). They also offer specialty services like oral surgery and endodontics within their network. Aspen Dental has a "Practice Ownership Program" (POP) which enables dentists to become business owners with the backing of ADMI's support services. This model has contributed to their significant growth, with over 1,100 locations nationwide. The parent company, The Aspen Group (TAG), has expanded beyond dental care to include other healthcare verticals such as urgent care, medical aesthetics, and pet health care. While Aspen Dental aims to provide high-quality care, patient experiences can vary, as with any large healthcare network. Many patients praise their convenience, ability to handle urgent appointments, and the comprehensive nature of the services offered. However, some past criticisms have focused on perceived upselling of treatments or issues with billing, though the company states they provide clear, written cost estimates for treatment plans. Aspen Dental also engages in community initiatives, such as the "Healthy Mouth Movement," providing free dental care to U.S. veterans.

The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and very intentional in how they treat their clients. My oldest kiddo is terrified of the dentist and not only did the office staff make her feel comfortable, the hygienist and doctor helped my kiddo feel at ease and got her excited about her dental routine

Absolutely Awful Experience – Felt Like a Sales Pitch, Not a Dental Visit If I could give zero stars, I would. I went in for tooth pain, hoping for a professional evaluation and solution. Instead, I got a dirty treatment room with dirty walls, a broken chair, and a dentist who cared more about selling me unnecessary procedures than actually diagnosing my issue. After waiting 30 minutes in the room, the dentist finally walked in—wearing house slippers. That should have been my first red flag. She spent less than 3 minutes looking at my tooth, poking around a few others, glanced at the X-rays, and then just shrugged and said, "Maybe it's a hairline fracture.

" No real effort to investigate further, no concern for my pain—just a lazy, half-hearted assessment. What happened next was worse. Instead of focusing on my actual problem, she immediately pivoted into a sales pitch for veneers on teeth that were perfectly fine except for some minor discoloration. She completely ignored my pain to try and upsell me on a cosmetic procedure I never asked for. When I declined the veneers, her attitude completely changed. Instead of looking for alternative solutions on my tooth pain, she just gave up and said my only option was a root canal.

No discussion of possible treatments, no attempt to figure out what was actually wrong—just, "Well, guess we’ll yank it out. " It was like going to the ER for a small cut and being told, "Sorry, we’ll have to amputate. " This place is a scammy, high-pressure sales office disguised as a dental practice. They don't care about your health or best interest—only about squeezing as much money out of you as possible. Avoid this place at all costs unless you enjoy being treated like a walking dollar sign.

Let me start with saying I never have a good experience at the dentist office but Aspen dentist office was something extraordinarily different. I went in scared and I came out confident and can't wait to go back in 3 months. The person that cleaned my teeth was so amazing. The doctor I talked to was very polite. Very knowledgeable.

Explain things to where I understood it and even apologized to me for being a little late. I want to reiterate the person that did the cleaning up my teeth change my mind about dentistry. Not only was she kind, caring, courteous Tupper time hurt my feelings and how I felt first. She said she actually even likes her job. Way to go Aspen Dennis

We liked our visit. Everyone was nice and pleasant. They young lady that was taking care of him has a very pleasant personality! She kept him relaxed and informed him of every move that she was doing next. We look forward to our next visit.
