Detailed Introduction

Aspen Dental is a prominent American dental support organization (DSO) established in 1998, with its roots tracing back to East Coast Dental and Upstate Dental founded by Robert Fontana. Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, Aspen Dental operates by providing extensive non-clinical business and administrative support services to a vast network of independently owned and operated dental practices across the United States. This model allows dentists to focus primarily on patient care while Aspen Dental handles aspects such as marketing, human resources, payroll, regulatory compliance, procurement, real estate management, and patient interface platforms. The core mission of Aspen Dental is to enhance access to quality dental care for more Americans, particularly those who may face barriers like affordability issues or lack of existing dental relationships. They aim to make dental care convenient and affordable, offering various payment options, including an Aspen Dental Savings Plan and third-party financing. Aspen Dental-branded practices offer a comprehensive range of dental services, including general dentistry (check-ups, cleanings, fillings, extractions), cosmetic dentistry (teeth whitening, veneers), restorative dentistry (crowns, bridges), and specialized procedures such as dentures (with on-site labs for faster service and a money-back guarantee) and dental implants. They also feature their own clear aligner product, Motto®. Many Aspen Dental locations are strategically placed in areas identified as "dental deserts" to serve underserved communities. A key aspect of Aspen Dental's business model is its "Practice Ownership Program" (POP), launched in 2004. This program provides a structured pathway for dentists to become practice owners, fostering an entrepreneurial spirit among clinicians. Dentists can start as associates, progress to Managing Clinical Directors (MCDs), and eventually own their practices with the ongoing support of Aspen Dental. This model is designed to empower dentists while ensuring consistent standards of care across the branded network. In 2021, Aspen Dental Management, Inc. rebranded its parent company to TAG – The Aspen Group, signifying its expansion beyond dental care into a broader healthcare platform that includes ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers, WellNow Urgent Care, Chapter Aesthetic Studio, and Lovet Pet Health Care. This expansion reinforces their overarching goal of bringing better healthcare to more people and pets. Aspen Dental emphasizes a patient-centric approach, striving to provide a comfortable and transparent experience. They aim to alleviate patient anxieties, offer clear pricing, and ensure accessibility through walk-in appointments for emergencies and flexible scheduling. The company also engages in significant community outreach through initiatives like the "Healthy Mouth Movement," providing free dental care to veterans and underserved individuals.

Staff was pleasant and kind. They efficiently and expertly walked me through the x-ray process and prepped me for the doc. It’s been a long time since I’ve been to a dentist and they helped me out a plan together to get my dental health back on track. ❣️

‼️PLEASE READ‼️I received dental malpractice on November 22, 2024 from Jason Amani. For over 6 months I have suffered from daily sinus issues because he punctured my maxillary sinus cavity on my left side during a cavity filling. He gave me a bacterial infection in my maxillary sinus that never healed correctly. I had to get surgery on my left maxillary sinus 2 days ago. Please listen to me, DO NOT RISK GOING TO JASON AMANI!!!! He is not to be trusted for dental care.

I go to the dentist every 6-12 months. Never had any prior tooth infection or issues until I went here on 11/22/24. (I have x-rays from October proving there was no prior infection) Right now I’m in the process of trying to find a lawyer to take my case and sue Aspen Dental for my pain and suffering and thousands of dollars in medical expenses I now owe. My quality of life has drastically went downhill. Constant pain and suffering every day.

I’m 2 days post-op and I’m praying that everything heals correctly and I do not have lifelong complications. Multiple times I have tried to reach out to customer service, sent emails, etc. NO ONE has ever reached back out to me. They don’t care AT ALL what happened to me.

I arrived in a lot of pain and because I don't speak English I thought I would be poorly received but I was surprised they have an interpreter in my language. The service was wonderful from the reception, the lady doing the x-ray, the lady in the finance department who was super friendly as well as the dentist. Only the young lady with curly blonde hair was a little rude but I overlooked it.

I will return to do the rest of my procedure and I hope to be received as I was today. Congratulations 🎉

I was honestly a little nervous (okay a lot nervous) walking into my appointment, but the entire team at Aspen Dental immediately put me at ease. They were so welcoming and made me feel comfortable from start to finish. What really stood out was how thoroughly they explained everything to me: what was going on, what my options were, and what to expect moving forward.

I never felt rushed or confused, and I left feeling much more informed and confident about my dental health. I’m really grateful for how kind and patient everyone was. Highly recommend!
