Detailed Introduction

Aspen Dental is a prominent dental support organization (DSO) that provides administrative, marketing, and operational support services to a vast network of independently owned and operated dental offices across the United States. While individual Aspen Dental branded practices are owned by licensed dentists, Aspen Dental Management, Inc. (ADMI) supports these practices by handling non-clinical aspects of the business. This model allows dentists to concentrate on providing patient care without the complexities of running a private practice. Founded in 1994, Aspen Dental has grown significantly, aiming to make dental care more accessible and affordable. They often target areas identified as "dental deserts" where access to dental providers may be limited. Their services encompass a comprehensive range of dental treatments, including general dentistry (check-ups, cleanings, fillings), cosmetic dentistry (teeth whitening, veneers, clear aligners like Motto®), restorative dentistry (crowns, bridges, dentures, dental implants), and specialty services like oral surgery (extractions, wisdom teeth removal, bone grafting) and endodontics (root canals). Aspen Dental emphasizes patient affordability and accessibility. They work with most insurance providers and offer various flexible payment solutions, including third-party financing and their own Aspen Dental Savings Plan, which provides discounts on services for an annual membership fee. They are known for their ability to accommodate emergency dental needs, often offering same-day appointments for urgent cases. Beyond patient care, Aspen Dental is also known for its "Healthy Mouth Movement" and other initiatives that provide free dental care to U.S. veterans and underserved communities. They also have a Practice Ownership Program (POP) that provides a structured path for dentists to become practice owners with the backing of the organization's business support. While they have faced some past criticisms regarding billing practices and ownership structure, Aspen Dental maintains that patient care is their priority and that they operate with full transparency. Their business model aims to empower dentists to focus on clinical excellence by providing robust administrative and technological support, including fully digital labs and advanced imaging systems.

I havnt been to a dentist in 20 years and came in for some tooth pain. The staff was super nice, not judgmental. It was super refreshing. What was also awesome is they were able to get me in next day for a cleaning then the following day I could have the work done, needed to fix the pain. Between same day appointments helpful and friendly staff I highly recommend this place.

Beginning with my latest visit. I confirmed my appointment time twice via e mail. The office called and "confirmed" it was half an hour earlier. When I questioned it, I was told the hygienist needed me there earlier. When I got there I was confronted with a bill for $2600+ that I had discussed many many times with staff that apparently doesn't work there any more. This gal kept insisting that I should have receipts with me. I asked her if that was why my appointment was changed and she said yes. I told her if they had been upfront about it I could have been prepared with paperwork.

She only wanted to show me on the computer that I owed this amount. We went round and round with the previous staff and was finally told by them that it was all cleared up. I assumed it was since I haven't been contacted again about it in over 6 months. She said I would have to address this charge every time I came in until it was paid. I told her I would not be paying it. When I finally got in to see the hygienist she informed me that she had another appointment in an hour and would have to try and get me finished by then. After my implants were removed and cleaned, she asked the dentist to finish it up because she had another appointment. This dentist was new to me and didn't bother to introduce himself.

He worked for quite a while reinserting the implants and then asked an assistant to finish up. She told him she was too busy. I felt that my appointment should have been the priority at the time I was supposed to be there. The staff at this office has always been so unfriendly and unsmiling except for one lady in the front office. She apparently is no longer there. I would not recommend this office to anyone.

I personally did not have a good experience here. I came in for a consult to get my wisdom teeth removed. I waited a full hour before anyone came to get me for my X-rays. I was there for 2hrs and 30 min.

I should have Spoken up but I didn’t and am left with a $300 bill and very unsatisfied with my treatment and experience. There was very little communication in general. Won’t be returning and don’t recommend.

I went in for dentures I was told they'd be done and in my mouth in 6 months it was over a year when I finally got them. They pretty much slapped them together they didn't fit I told them they didn't fit one of the dentist grinded down one of the teeth to make them fit and they still didn't do it right I finally gave up and left had to go to another dentist to get implants to hold them in in lieu of making a whole new set. I've had two other dentists tell me that they were ridiculously done. My top denture protruded so far that there was a quarter to half inch gap between my front teeth on top and my front teeth on the bottom. I would run from these people. I received a call from the office manager, Vivian.

She asked me to come in and let them have one more try to make things right or they will refund my money on my dentures. I made an appointment to go in and get one of the two done either they would make it right or I'd get my money like she said. By the end of the appointment they wanted to charge me to redo my dentures after the doctor told her and myself that they were done wrong in the first place she wanted to charge me for a new set. She would give me a discount but then we're going to charge me. The doctor said that the comfy light dentures I have have a 7-year warranty when I brought that up to her he told her that and me when I told that to her she said the doctor doesn't know what he's talking about. I said what happened to making it right or giving me my money back I said you're not making it right so I'd like my money back she wouldn't do that either I walked out with the dentures that they screwed up nothing taken care of none of my money back and I got an earful of BS.

These people are crooks, they're out only for the money. Their office manager will lie to get you in and then charge you money or try to to get things done that you don't need to pay for at all. I suggest going to anybody else but them anybody. There's a reason why they only have 3. 8 stars out of five they're lucky to get that.
