Detailed Introduction

Aspen Dental, officially known as Aspen Dental Management, Inc. (ADMI), is a leading American dental support organization (DSO) established in 1998. Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, ADMI provides comprehensive administrative, operational, and marketing support services to a vast network of over 1100 independently owned and operated dental practices across the United States. The core mission of Aspen Dental is to break down barriers to dental care, focusing on reaching individuals who may not have a regular dental provider or face financial constraints. Their clinics are often strategically located in "dental deserts," areas with a significant need for dental services. While the individual practices are owned by licensed dentists who maintain clinical autonomy, ADMI offers a robust support system, allowing dentists to concentrate primarily on patient care rather than the complexities of running a business. This support includes everything from staffing and patient billing to insurance negotiations and state-of-the-art technology, such as digital labs with 3D printing and intraoral scanners. Aspen Dental offers a comprehensive suite of dental services, catering to a wide range of patient needs. These services include general dentistry (check-ups, cleanings, fillings, extractions), cosmetic dentistry (teeth whitening, veneers, crowns, clear aligners like Motto®), restorative dentistry (dentures, bridges, dental implants), and emergency dental care. They strive to make care affordable through various financing options, acceptance of most major dental insurance plans (though they do not accept Medicaid), and their own Aspen Dental Savings Plan. Beyond their clinical services, Aspen Dental is also known for its community initiatives, such as the "Healthy Mouth Movement," which provides free dental care to U.S. veterans and underserved individuals. They also have a "Practice Ownership Program" that empowers dentists within their network to become successful business owners, providing a structured path to practice ownership with non-clinical support.

If you have plenty of time on your hands this is the place. I mentioned to the staff when I made the appointment my mother had dementia and she gets confused easy .I would appreciate not having to wait very long. They said no problem. It took 45 minutes to get seated and another 30 minutes to get examined.

Aspen dental recently booked an appointment for me, told me my insurance wouldn't pay for 1,666. 00 of my treatment plan. Had me apply for a loan through them, I got approved and made my first payment. Upon talking to my dental insurance company I found out that everything was covered, in the meantime aspen dental and first finance put 2 more charges through my debit card. I called to talk to the manager and was told she was on the phone, I asked to be called back, no call back either, this routine went on for 4 days, she was on the phone for 4 days, no time to call me back, now I'm driving over there to straighten this debacle out.

The office manager should be FIRED, she is so unprofessional, why not just come to the phone and handle the business you were hired to do? Now, I'm disabled and having to drive over there for the next 5 days in a row, this account manager, office manager, scaredy-cat cat would not just simply come out and explain to me why I was being charged fraudulently and for more things than I agreed to. So I sit there waiting 45 minutes, can you believe she still did not come out of her office? I wasn't mad then but now I'm mad, my insurance company is pursuing them, my bank is disputing all charges, and I'm calling the better business bureau tomorrow morning. I wish I would of seen these ratings first, these are here to let us know just how terrible aspen dental really is. Now, I'm being told that I was charged nothing but my bank says differently and the insurance company has been denied explanation of charges and hung up on by customer service. So my friendly advice is aspen dental should fire the employees that hide from their job duties, hire someone qualified for the job, tell you if you want a good dentist Painless dentistry in grand blanc are awesome and so is Dental House of Waterford.

These 2 places will definitely make you smile. Don't trust a place like Aspen with 1 star. Wish I knew prior to going there and getting ripped off and denied explanation of charges for 2 weeks. . good luck

My first visit was amazing! I received all the help that I needed from getting x-rays, to a detailed plan and payment options. I was also able to get my teeth cleaned. I couldn't have asked for more! I'm very satisfied and would recommend Aspen to everyone I know!

I feel bad writing a bad review but I need to share my experience. I hadn’t been to a dentist in years so I chose a random dentist near me. I came in, got work done, and got a hefty bill. My insurance wasn’t covering much at all. So now I have another credit bill over a thousand dollars.

Went back again several times for some issues and everytime I would see a different dentist who gave me a different opinion every time. So I was getting confused on stuff and I just felt not right about the place. Went somewhere for a second opinion and I get told I don’t need as much work done as what aspen dentist had said. Also at my new dentist I’m not walking out with a thousand dollar bill, turns out my insurance does cover things. Aspen is ridiculously expensive.

I only had 1 good experience there with a younger dentist and hygienist but most times I went so many things just made me mad or felt not cared for. Also since I Decided to go somewhere else I cancelled my appointments with aspen but they already charged me on my care credit for the stuff I was going to get done and they told me they would send over my refund but never did. Why would I even be charged in the first place before the stuff even happened??
