Detailed Introduction

Assogna Endodontics is an endodontic practice located in the Renaissance building at 46 Fox St one, Poughkeepsie, NY. The clinic is led by Dr. Denise A. Assogna, a highly skilled and experienced endodontist. Dr. Assogna established her practice in Poughkeepsie in 1992 and has a strong background in the field, including a two-year specialty training program in endodontics from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers). She has also held positions as a Clinical Instructor at SUNY Stony Brook and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. The practice specializes in a variety of endodontic services, which are focused on diagnosing and treating issues related to the dental pulp and tooth nerves. Key services offered include: root canal therapy: The most common endodontic procedure, aimed at removing infected or inflamed pulp, disinfecting the tooth, and sealing it to prevent further infection. endodontic retreatment: A procedure for teeth that have previously had a root canal but have failed to heal or have developed new pain or infection. This involves reopening the tooth to remove the old filling material and clean the canals again. apical surgery (Apicoectomy): A surgical procedure to remove the infected tip of a tooth's root and the surrounding tissue when a traditional root canal or retreatment is not sufficient. cracked teeth and dental injuries: Diagnosis and treatment for teeth that have been cracked or sustained traumatic injuries. Sedation Dentistry: The practice offers sedation options to help anxious patients feel comfortable and relaxed during their treatment. Assogna Endodontics is known for its patient-centered approach. Dr. Assogna and her staff are frequently praised in reviews for their gentle manner, clear communication, and commitment to creating a comfortable and reassuring experience for patients. The clinic also uses advanced technologies, such as 3D cone beam computed tomography (CBCT), to provide more accurate diagnoses and customized treatment plans. Dr. Assogna is an active member of professional organizations including the American Dental Association (ADA) and the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), demonstrating her dedication to staying current with the latest techniques and technology in her field. The practice's primary goal is to save natural teeth whenever possible, and they work closely with referring dentists to ensure comprehensive patient care.

I have a 12-year-old child that needed a root canal. Everyone was professional and quite positive. I feel like both the dentist and assistant helped the feeling of ease. We had a good experience.

Assogna Endontics was an unbelievable relief to my pain and suffering. My normal dentist was out of town and my discomfort was extreme. To make matter worse, I found myself on Friday before the 4th of July weekend. . .

I called several dentists who were all closed for the weekend but fortunately Assogna was able to give me an appointment that same day! The experience was surprisingly pleasant from the beautiful office to the comfortable operating room setting. The doctor I had walked me through the whole process and had the technology to precisely perform my root canal with minimal pain. The procedure wasn't cheap but it was one of the best experiences I've ever had at a dentist office. If you need a root canal, call them!
