I wish I can give zero star! This Dr. Kai Mai has office in Little Neck and an office in Dongan Ave Elmhurst. My review is for her branch office at Elmhurst. She is not always there and only the dental hygienist is there seeing patients. My experience is so bad with Dr. Kai Mai's staff that I will not go there again even if someone held a gun to my head. I might even volunteer to take a bullet to my leg just so I don't have to go back. Seriously. Absolutely horrible. I had a bitewing x-ray 5 months ago and then a panoramic x-ray 3 weeks ago. Usually you get one dental x-ray per year.

When I switched to new insurance Health First, they assigned me to this Dr. Kai Mai. Well, I came here and Dr. Kai Mai is not there to see me, but only a dental hygienist available. Fine. I was running a bit later than my appointment, so I expected to wait longer before I can be seen. I brought with me a copy of my panoramic x-ray and told the receptionist I do not want to have x-ray taken again. She put it in my file and said ok to wait. I ended up sitting for almost 2 hours. Yes, 2 hours!!! There were multiple times that I want to get up and leave because I was getting impatient. But then I thought it'd be worth it to be seen since I already had a long commute here.

After waiting 2 hours, I was told I need to have another x-ray again. Wait, what??! I specifically told receptionist I do not want another x-ray, I already had 2 x-rays within 5 months. I was furious. I don't care what their excuse is, having more than 2 dental x-ray within 5 months is not right. They just want to make more money with the extra x-ray, they do not care about your radiation exposure. There is nothing wrong with my teeth, I still have my panoramic x-ray from 3 weeks ago!!! They refused to give me dental cleaning after I waited almost 2 hours unless I let them bill insurance for another x-ray. DO NOT COME HERE! The doctor is not on staff, only the dental hygienist and the staff, and they are so incompetent that I wasted 2 hours of time. SEEK ANOTHER DENTIST THAT CARE MORE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH THAN MONEY. 一句话，找别的牙医吧。 这里太没医疗道德了。

Waiting time was short and I was seen quickly. My front bottom tooth chipped due to my deep bite and I would require orthodontic treatment. The doctor fixed my bottom front tooth but I was also billed for a filling on a molar tooth. I called the office to let them know they billed me for a procedure they did not do and my insurance will only cover once every 2 years. The front desk told me they would let the doctor know, consult with my chart notes, and call me back.

After not hearing back for a month, I called again. This time, someone who spoke limited English answered the phone. I explained the situation to her multiple times but she kept trying to book me for a cleaning. After seeing I wasn’t due for a cleaning, she just kept repeating I wasn’t due yet. I requested to speak to someone else because she didn’t understand me.

She just said “no”. I’m really disappointed by the lack of professionalism. Since I have a deep bite I went for a consultation to an orthodontist. As you can see, none of my molars have fillings.

Worse experiences I ever had! The staff is rude! The service is terrible! All of my family members visited this dental office before. We made an appointment for two peoples. When I came in, I checked in my appointment time with the front desk. The front desk staff said only one appointment made it.

So, she only allows one person to come in. Also, this dental office is not very professional in cleaning" class="text-blue-600 hover:underline font-medium">teeth cleaning.

I’d give them 0 star if I could! The worst dental office ever! They don’t respect you at the bottom! Even you made an appointment, they will ask you to wait at least two hours! Even they called you and asked you come right away, you still have to wait for 2 hours! Don’t go there expect you enjoy wasting your time and life. Waste other people’s time is equal the murder!
