Corrective Jaw Surgery (Orthognathic Surgery): For patients whose jaws don't meet correctly or teeth don't fit within the jaw, AOFS provides corrective jaw surgery to improve facial appearance and ensure proper tooth function. Bone Grafting: They employ modern bone grafting techniques to rebuild bone structure, crucial for dental implants and other reconstructive procedures. TMJ Treatment: AOFS offers both surgical and non-surgical treatments for temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, helping patients find relief from pain and discomfort. Oral Pathology: Their expertise extends to diagnosing and treating oral pathology, including growths, lesions, and other abnormalities in the mouth, with a focus on early detection of conditions like oral cancer. Facial Reconstruction: AOFS provides facial reconstruction services to address facial injuries, fractures, and other conditions that impact the facial regions. General Anesthesia and Sedation: Patient comfort is a priority, and they offer a range of anesthesia options, including general anesthesia, IV sedation, oral sedation, and nitrous oxide. AOFS distinguishes itself through several key advantages: a large network of skilled and board-certified surgeons who regularly collaborate and share knowledge; a commitment to embracing innovative methods and technological advancements like 3-dimensional x-rays and cone beam CT scans; and a unique business strategy that centralizes administrative duties. This allows their surgical offices to focus primarily on patient comfort, safety, and direct care, while a dedicated Central Service Center handles insurance complexities and other administrative tasks. They also maintain a strong external network of nearly 2,500 referring doctors, reinforcing their position as a trusted resource in the dental and medical community. AOFS is known for its meticulous attention to detail, patient education, and providing a holistic patient journey designed to inspire confidence and deliver optimal outcomes.

I've had extensive dental work and oral surgeries in my life and can honestly say that Dr. Gardner is hands' down the best of the best. He is caring and patient, takes time to explain treatment options and procedures, and his work is absolutely outstanding. As a bonus he has a way of making you feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the procedure and recovery.

"Very Best Surgery Experience" I am extremely grateful to Dr. Garner and his staff. My case was a little complicated because I was worrying about my bridge and Dr. Gardner was able to do my extraction on my front tooth without interfering on my Bridge. In addition, Dr. Gardner did more and beyond work. I was put at ease, and he was explaining every steps of what he is doing.

He cares about his patients and treat patients like real humans being. I had my pain med prescription and did not need a lot because I could manage without it. Nurses are the best I have encounter, the entire staff cares about patients. Not only they took time to explain what I need to do after the operation to take care of myself, but also contacted me later in the afternoon to make sure if I was OK and reminded me what I needed to do. This is truly a doctor that is passionate about his work and care about the wellbeing of his patients.

I would like to start my review by saying that despite being received well by the oral surgeon Dr. Gardner, many times in the past, unfortunately his treatment towards me is not able to make up for his rude staff, starting with his office manager, Ms. Christine. This women has treated me with the upmost disrespect and has chosen on multiple occasions, both her and the other office manager, to play God and decide whether or not I am worthy to come back to their practice. I have been a patient of this practice since my surgery in 2018. I have needed dental implants or some sort of procedure for the gaps left due to the surgery. In 2023, I was unable to make it to my appointment due to unforeseeable circumstances. However, now that it has been a year later and we are now well into 2024, I have been told on multiple occasions by Ms. Christine that I am not allowed to come back to the practice due to my “cancellations. ” Ms. Christine is therefore refusing my treatment from Dr. Gardner. I have called several times to have to advocate for myself just to be told in February 2024, just a few months ago that I can see the doctor, however, I need to pay the full consultation, x-ray and another fee that I was not aware of until yesterday, May 1st, ALL upfront before, I can see the doctor.

Anyone that knows anything about appointments knows that some things can be billed to your insurance. By law, they are supposed to at least check that, but they did not feel the need to for me because to them, they are doing me a favor, by even letting me come in. On May 1st, I am told by one of the front desk receptionist that it is showing that I am not allowed to come back to practice. That is when I assured her that based on my last conversation with Ms. Christine in February, I was assured by her towards the end of that call that if I need anything, I should ask for her, that they do not want make me uncomfortable, they just have their policies. I fully understood that, hence, why I told her at that end of that conversation that once I can pay to full costs upfront, I will call back to schedule. However, I had to think about what felt right to me as well as what I can afford upfront and quite frankly, where I would feel the most comfortable going because it wasn’t there at this point. I already felt hesitant to come there after everything. On May 1st, it was as though anything that she told me previously was not true. From her words, “she hadn’t heard from me from February to May 1st” - Why do you think that is? Shouldn’t I be given the chance to make sure I have the money in full being that you’re not even bothering to check what my insurance can pay? Not to mention, in February 2024, this Ms. Christine made a comment about how “if I cannot even pay that consultation fee, It would be hard for me to pay for the dental implants that are much more. ” is that her decision to make? There are payment plan options and several other options for a reason that I have the right to know after my consultation, but I guess I’ll never know with this office since at first glance, Ms. Christine wants to pass judgment on that too.

But there’s no discrimination going on apparently. In May 1st conversation, she went on to mention how “I wasted there time in 2023” and more. We are well into 2024, I have not scheduled an appointment since let alone have over a year and you’re still holding me against something from the year prior. . at that point, I was already distraught but especially anxious. I was literally on the phone crying and eventually had to call my mom to be on the phone call. No one should have to call an office and start crying over an appointment. This is my health I don’t want to cut corners. At that point, I just needed documents to be sent over to somebody to see me. And in doing so, I’m hoping and praying that I am in the right hands. How people treat others is important, and it is very sad that the managers at this practice do not care to see that. I would like to not cry before and after my appointment any ways.
