Dr Perkinson is very caring and professional. He extracted an impacted extra tooth on my 6-yr-old son today, while keeping him calm and happy. Very good chairside manner.

Today my son had an appointment at 1:15 pm. We were told to arrive at 1:00 pm to complete paperwork. Today, there was a semi truck fire on I-88 that shut down the tollway. The traffic was insane. At 1:08 my car navigation estimated a 1:18 arrival. I had my son call the office to let them know we would arrive within 10 minutes.

He was told we would have to reschedule the appointment. Before he could hang up from the call we arrived in the parking lot and walked into the office at precisely 1:15. They refused to see him, because we did not arrive at 1:00 to complete the paperwork. I could easily have completed paperwork while my son was seen, but the unfriendly woman behind the counter said our appointment had been rescheduled and they would not see him. Needless to say, we will schedule a consult with the other surgeon recommended by our dentist and not bother with this office.

Dr. Perkinson is an Awsome Dr, he provides patient education and informed consent when going over the procedure. The procedure itself was quick and painless, they even gave me a mini chapstick for the road.

When doing paperwork there is a sheet that allows patients to use medical insurance OR dental insurance depending on which coverage is better. That said, although the Dr does his best to provide you with information to answer and calm any questions or worries, his phone staff, does not seem to be on the same page as him when it comes to patients concerns and general outlook. They will gradually wait longer and longer to call you back if they miss you, and will call you back days later to tell you “everything’s normal, doctor will see you at his follow-up “.

Which in contrast to the rest of my experience with this office, feels a little bit like a door being slammed in your face. Overall assuming everything heals the way both the Dr and I feel it will, I would come back if I have to have more oral surgery done!

The bad reviews for this office says it all. The front desk woman gives off such an attitude, rushes you off the phone, and struggles to answer billing questions. They won’t see you unless you pay everything in advance (our copay was $2200) and then they’ll refund your money back to you after your insurance pays them.

It feels icky and like a money hungry office. I will not recommend them to business colleagues, family, or friends.
