Great service. Had general anesthesia with two extractions. Quick, safe, painless. Best dental experience ever. Very friendly and professional staff. Dr. Golivanov is very patient, attentive and accommodating. Great dentist! Very satisfied. Highly recommend!

The clinic environment is suitable for adults, not suitable for kids. The quote for treatment of my 8-year old daughter included a total amount over $4000. I sent an email asked a refferal to the dental clinic that is more kids friendly and has more affordable rates. No response to my email.

A fews days later, I called and spoke with "Awake or Asleep" receptionist. The response was the following: "We do not give referrals".

I don't think this clinic understands the words consultation, medical condition, or anxiety. For a dental clinic that markets itself as providing general anesthesia for special needs and anxious clients, they were not very caring, considerate or comforting. It is completely fair that they said they could not help me - which is their right, and possibly the correct and best option as their anesthesiologist said they could not provide general anesthesia for someone with my medical condition (hypotension). It is also fine if they can not provide other recommendations or suggestions, which they could not. Nonetheless, I think someone looking for caring and compassionate support in a dentist should look elsewhere. And I wish I knew where that somewhere was. Edit in review of response: If you are looking for places for improvement, I suggest having cohesion between staff on what you think a consultation is would be a good starting place.

While on the phone when booking, we were told no work would occur prior to consultation, and there would be a consultation fee - that we were happy to pay - with opportunity for inspection and x-rays if it made sense afterwards. Instead the experience started off with a hygenist wisking me towards a dental chair and opening sterile tool packages first, and before I had talked to anyone in consultation, until I stopped her. Someone with dental anxiety doesn't want to sit in the chair until they know whats happening and why. And the disconnect in the communicated plan, versus the experience is a big disconnect for anyone even with simple dental anxiety regardless of "extensive and complex medical history" such as . . . low blood pressure, and gluten and food allergies.

I don't feel the need to reframe the consultation as an "interview of the dentist," and I'm sorry you feel the need to be defensive in regards to what a consultation is. We were happy to pay for your time, but we do appreciate that you waived it in light of not being able to help. Your phonecall, nor the total time spent with you, was as lengthy as you are suggesting. But I appreciate that you took the time to ask your anesthesiologist when you were unsure of the impacts of medical details. In future, it would also have been as acceptable to cut the consultation off with "I will check with my staff when they are available and get back to you and we can go from there. " But I can appreciate that you may have wanted to get it over with, and therefore was worth it to you to contact staff when they are no on the clock any longer at 5:10pm.
