After not having dental care for years, I visited this practice excited to get back on track and left feeling extremely frustrated. The receptionist and x-ray technician were very nice and professional, my experience with the dentist was the opposite. After looking at my mouth for all of 30 seconds, I was told I needed four cavities filled and an advanced cleaning with every recommended treatment conveniently falling just outside my insurance coverage into more expensive options. After talking to the benefit explanation person, who tried to talk me into more expensive options, I left.

I attempted to address my concerns directly with the practice via email, explaining how I felt they were prioritizing profit over patient care. They never responded to my message. Feeling something wasn't right, I sought a second opinion at another dentist. They conducted a thorough examination and said that what the ballard dentist had diagnosed as cavities were actually just stains that needed cleaning, not drilling and filling.

I recommend getting a second opinion if you're told you need extensive work here and in general just recommend not going here.

My deep dental cleaning with Tracie, RDH was the best cleaning experience I’ve ever had. She is very patient, gentle yet extremely thorough. She walks you through everything she is doing and is a true pro. The whole team at Ballard has been great to work with.

My most recent visit to Ballard Modern was one of the best experiences I have had to the dentist office in a long time. Most of that was due to Tracie Tran, Hygienist RDH. I normally have a lot of anxiety when it comes to dentistry but Tracie made me feel calm and relaxed through the entire visit.

I have another appt with her soon and I already feel less stressed knowing that I am under her professional care 5/5. In the past, the office has cancelled my appointments and I did not receive a phone call or a follow up and that is the only reason I have given the overall a 4/5.

I work in healthcare and had one of the best dental experiences at Ballard Modern Dentistry. Dr. Andrew Hoang was incredibly kind, patient, funny, knowledgeable, and transparent (appreciate how up to date on best practice he was). The new patient process is impressively streamlined—imaging, review, and cleaning are all done in one efficient visit.

The entire staff was warm and professional. Nick from financial services explained insurance coverage and out-of-pocket costs before any care was provided, eliminating any billing surprises. The front desk team was friendly, and the check-out staff member was especially bubbly and kind (wish I wrote down her name, but you'll know when you meet her)-she also saw an inconsistency with a price and adjusted it for me, saving me money. I had a completely pain-free cleaning and was given autonomy and clear options throughout my care.

Booking was fast and easy- I got in in less than a week. My only suggestion is clearer signage, as the location was a bit hard to find. Despite that, I’m thrilled to have found this practice and fully trust them with my dental care going forward.
