We have been bringing our children here for many years as Dr Mamiko is wonderful and excellent at communicating and teaching my kids about tooth health. She and the hygienists make their visits very fun and my kids look forward to them. Sadly, the newer receptionist at the check in desk was unfriendly and had a negative tone both in person (when I was there at the most recent visit) and on the phone on more then one occasion when I called.

She made me feel uncomfortable and I didn’t appreciate her attitude. Due to these poor experiences with her I do not recommend this office.

We love Dr Mamiko, and have had only positive experiences with her and her office staff! She is very engaging and sweet with my kids. I highly recommend her to everyone! The previous posts about insurances are unfair - her office sent out letters clarifying the insurance policy change earlier this year.

My kids loved visiting Ballard Pediatric Dentistry. The office is impeccable and well designed for children. Dr. Mamiko and everyone in her team are very experienced, friendly and fun.

We will never forget the care and assurance we received during an emergency visit when my toddler tripped on some stairs and completely knocked-out his upper front tooth, summer of 2021. Sadly, the office no longer takes our dental insurance.

Even though we were notified well in advance by e-mail and snail mail that Dr. Mamiko would no longer be in network with our dental insurance and we would be fully responsible for the costs, we decided to stay with her practice for the top notch care. In addition to many cleanings, our kiddo had a very gentle tooth extraction with Dr. Mamiko.

She was so kind and caring before and during the procedure. Afterwards, my kid was requesting that all her baby teeth get extracted in the future by Dr. Mamiko because it was such a positive experience! I highly recommend this practice to anyone who wants high touch and attentive dental care.
