Not the same since Dr. Bob retired, but they do a nice job on the cleanings. Seem to be a little “crown happy” as any filling I had, which was put in by Dr. Bob and he had no issues with afterwards, they immediately recommended getting a crown…don’t understand why the push to crown a tooth that wasn’t an issue.

Just moved to PA a little over a year ago. This team was recommended to me and I’m grateful. My Dental hygienist is a pleasure to see, believe it or not. I was her for a teeth cleaning for the first time with the new owners. The teeth cleaning portion was fine. However, when I met with the dentist, I was very taken back by their recommendation that at 30 years old I needed all of these crowns, cavities etc. I had seen another dentist in between because I don’t live in the area anymore, and there was no such recommendation. When I spoke to my father, who also went there for a cleaning, he said funny. They told me the same thing.

I was never told any of this when I used to see Dr. Shuttlesworth. I truly felt like they were just taking advantage gave me a very extensive plan for a lot of money. I don’t understand what a 30-year-old would need all of these crowns. I don’t even have any discomfort with my teeth.

Definitely miss Dr Bob & his crew. I also had the experience on my first visit with the new staff re: crown (4) & mouthguard recommendations. I was advised by the new dentist that I could choose to get the crowns or risk the possibility of my teeth breaking apart & then was given an estimate (to the tune of nearly $7,000) which I was asked to sign.

Several weeks later I was contacted by the office staff to see if I would like to schedule for the recommended dental procedures. I will certainly be getting a second opinion and most likely looking for a new dental practice.
