Stay away from the female dentist!!! Went in to have a stain removed from my fang tooth. All of a sudden she’s using tools on the back of my front teeth & telling me I need a root canal??? My previous X-rays from my dental cleaning showed no cavities! She drilled holes in the top of the back of my teeth, had to put a filling in & then started shaving down my bottom teeth so my mouth could close correctly. All of this with no Novocain cause i was only there to get a stain removed. I told her my insurance ended in 4 weeks, there was no way they’d approve a root canal on such short notice.

Sure enough, I was denied & 6 weeks later the fillings fell out from my front teeth. The owner of Better Smiles put the fillings back in my front teeth but told me I needed 2 root canals & I told him she caused the damage & I was no longer insured. He then proceeded to tell me he didn’t know why I needed 2 root canals, he didn’t know me, maybe I drank a lot of pop or had bad hygiene? There was no way I could prove she was at fault… I left his office crying cause I knew there was nothing I could do to fix the damage she caused & my front teeth are now gray from being drilled, my bottom teeth are horribly uneven & my mouth doesn’t close correctly cause she shaved them so low. My upper teeth actually dig into my lower lip cause my alignment is so off.

I don’t have insurance anymore & im stuck with the mess she made in the FRONT of my mouth. Even her own staff (hygienists & office manager) said she had no business drilling in the top of my teeth or shaving my lower teeth. She’s a hack job & the owner knows it and ignores that she’s doing unnecessary dental work.

Today I accompanied my brother to his first appointment at the Orchard Park location. Front desk staff were very kind and helpful. Doctor was also kind and wonderful, but the hygienist Jake was over the top welcoming and thorough. My adult brother has autism and sometimes struggles with comprehension and oral hygiene. Jake took extra care to ensure he understood in a very gentle way.

Jake's sense of humor and very obvious passion for his work and his patients truly made him stand apart from all previous dental providers. This practice is better because of Jake. My brother (and I) left in a happy mood, feeling satisfied with his care and the experience as a whole. Thank you, Jake! :)

I'm a new patient, having gone for one cleaning. I'll be going back. Excellent attention to detail. Tammie was my dental hygienist, she took the time to thoroughly overview my dental health, covering things that were never explained before. She also removed a very visible canine stain that previous hygienists left stained.
