I had an experience similar to Jennifer's, (I will spare you the details), the phone rep, office manager or whatever her title is abruptly hung up on me while trying to reschedule an appointment. I had only gone to Dr Bihary twice when he was in Tyrone and he seemed like a good dentist. If you can get past whoever the nasty women is that answers the phone you would probably be pleased with Dr Bihary. * I forgot to mention, you have to sign a form that says Dr Bihary uses material that your insurance might not cover and you will be responsible for additional charges, sure enough I had to pay an extra $100 for a filling. The tooth has held up well so maybe it was worth the cost.

He's a good natured Dentist, he sings a lot and he does good work but the extra B. S. isn't worth the hassle.

Very nice guy, went to him for probably 7 years. Dont be deceived by his goofy 80's music and him singing in the background while your waiting to get your teeth looked at lol. I was very consistent with cleanings every 6 months, however towards the end I started to become skeptical of his treatment. He is what you call a very conservative dentist. All the dental assistants are excellent very polite, super professional, which also made my outcome for his office very much of a disappointment in my diagnosis from another dentist. After my last cleaning at his office I was having an issue with my canine tooth that was filled several times just not fixed properly thats when I decided it was time to move on. Now keep in mind my entirely family of 6 and 2 other families I know also come here, so It was very hard believing my diagnosis for my teeth. After transitioning to another practice in State College, receiving my xrays and dental notes from Bihary front desk/ management was awful. I seen a side of them that I never saw before and they were completely unprofessional.

After getting my new xrays which which made the final decision. . . I had 12 cavities, and 2 root canals!!! How on earth can someone who gets there teeth cleaned on a regular basis, brushes there teeth twice a day, flosses, and uses mouth wash consistently have this kind of diagnosis??? I spoke to one of the front desk staff about getting records etc. . . and how I would have such a diagnosis and her answer was "I needed to brush my teeth more". Another big thing to make sure this office is doing is taking a full mouth x-ray. They claim that your insurance only allows them to cover it every 5 years but it should be done every 3.

Here is the kicker. . . . I had a full mouth xray taken in 2017 that showed cavities. After transferring to another office had another full mouth xray done and it still showed the same cavities but unfortunately they got bigger and some turned into root canals because Bihary was not doing his job. So if you still want to have teeth, no permanent issues, permanent sensitivity, missing time at work to get your teeth fixed DONT GO TO BIHARY!!!!! PLEASE IT WILL SAVE YOU A FEW TEETH. The guy should be sued, and not have a practice but hes lucky im not that guy.

My family has ALWAYS received the best treatment from Dr. Bihari and his staff. He's been our dentist for more than 15 years and we would definitely recommend him!
