Dr Alvarez has a wonderful office space, very professional reception and administrative staff. They were warm, friendly and helpful. I was an emergency walk in. The wait was short and the waiting room was comfortable and aesthetically appealing. I did not get served by Dr Alvarez which from the reviews would have ended my visit in the wonderful way it started. instead the female dentist that attended to me was dismissive, cold and did not treat me as a customer deserving of her facing me to explain options. Instead she made me feel even more horrible about my teeth which were the result of two years of taking care of my terminally ill mother rather than myself. . . . This dentist needs some customer service training and recognition that she was not doing me a favor but offering a service for which I was paying. Instead she acted as if she had some stereotypical view of me that justified her acting as if I was invisible. She in turn acted like a privileged, dictator instead of a professional in consultation. .
. I had to ask her what she thought, what were my options with her back to me and she made trite comments like “I can do nothing”. . . . ”you don’t have. . . ”. Of course I did not go further, beyond her rudeness I felt she was inept. . . . GET HER OUT OF THERE she does not match the energy of the other employees in the space nor the clientele,.
. . . It was a missed opportunity for the business because of the level of work I needed and possibly expanding to serving my husband and kids. . . Teach her to ask questions, smile, have some compassion, demonstrate cultural competency and recognize under the worst scenario, the fact that someone is In you chair they deserve to be treated with dignity. Partner with the customer. . . . make people feel you value them and want to help.

Dr. Alvarez is hands down the best dentist and, to boot, the best medical professional I have ever had the pleasure to experience. Upon my first visit, he came in, introduced himself, spoke to me about coffee from colombia, related about his past running, and put the office on tv for me all while doing a thorough examination. I felt at east. I had a good time and felt connected to him on a personal level.
He actually made me WANT to go back to the dentist office because it was such a good time. This is unlike anything I ever get from any other medical professionals in New Jersey. I'm only sad I moved and will no longer see him as my primary dentist.

Dr Alvarez, Jenny , Bibi and his whole staff are wonderful. They are super nice and helpful. Bibi did my cleaning, which I was super anxious about, and was very gentle. Dr Alvarez is also a very gentle and knowledgeable dentist.

Doctor Alvarex work is exquisite, he also is gentle and professional. Super meticulous care of my teeth for a number of years now and I always look forward to his helpful advice. His staff is also stellar. Highly recommend and most likely move all of our family here!
