Very upset about the outcome of my orthodontic care from here. Upon removal my teeth are far from satisfactory. I have since gone to two other orthos for their opinion along with my dentist. All 3 of which are very very shocked/unahppy/and surprised at the low quality work done to my teeth. About 6 months prior to getting my braces off (they were scheduled to be off at this time) my dentist wrote an email to my ortho on all the work she said still needed to be done to my teeth before my braces were taken off. Dr Johnson basically said that he will take her advice when she becomes an orthodontist. So, all concerns about my teeth were thrown out the door. Let’s not mention that you only see doctor for MAX 5 mins per appt.
Meanwhile, while waiting for the doctor, you are laying in the chair listening to the assistants argue about who was next in line to be seen by dr. I could talk about this forever but what I can say now is CHEAPER IS NOT BETTER. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. They will probably come back with a comment filled with whatever excuse they have but the fact that I have 3 dental professionals appalled by his work says more than any excuse they have to give. ALSO: I opted in to have “whitening” done after my removal. I was not aware that this meant he was literally going to grind the service of them until they are white. Now I have to get composite bonding on my top 4 teeth because he had ground them down so thin they have no contour to them anymore and just look weird and sensitive. ALSO x2: getting my retainer was a nightmare.
I have a Pontic in my retainer for a missing tooth. When the assistant had me try it on there was still some form of super glue wet on it and it literally stuck to all my upper teeth and my tongue. Which also resulted in her grinding my teeth more to get the glue residue off of them. Then, my retainer had to be remade. When it was ready I was literally greeted at the front door by the lab tech herself and she just handed my retainer to me in a ziplock bag covered in dust. No doctor or assistant checked to make sure my retainer fit properly and just set me on my way.

My experience as a patient under the care of Dr. Bret Johnson over the past few years has been deeply disappointing. I began treatment with the expectation of receiving competent, attentive, and professional orthodontic care. Unfortunately what I received instead was a consistent pattern of poor service, lack of accountability, and a practice that prioritizes VOLUME over patient well-being. I experienced so many issues with my Invisalign treatment. Multiple scans were done improperly significantly delaying my progress. Those errors were largely the result of an inattentive and poorly trained staff. One particularly disappointing incident involved dental glue being cured on my skin an avoidable mistake that should never occur in a professional clinical setting. Zero accountability was taken. I will say at one point there was a single staff member who stood out for her professionalism and care and she made a noticeable difference for me during her time there. She’s the only reason I decided not to transfer care but she eventually left the practice which only emphasizes the ongoing issues with staff turnover. My appointments have been marked by disorganization and long wait times far beyond the scheduled appointment time.
It’s very much an assembly-line approach to patient care. The office always feels overcrowded and very rushed with little regard for individual attention. Rescheduling appointments was unnecessarily difficult and rigid. I was consistently met with inflexibility from the administrative side of the practice. Patient convenience is never a consideration. I also experienced significant billing issues. Automatic payments continued to be withdrawn from my account. It took multiple contacts with the office to resolve the issue and receive reimbursement. Dr. Johnson’s demeanor shifted to one that felt increasingly indifferent and dismissive once I stopped responding to his insincere superficial interactions. It became clear that a genuine rapport and patient connection were not priorities for him. He didn’t care about my case.
My experience with Dr. Bret Johnson’s practice was consistently substandard. Every single part of it. From clinical care to customer service. Every facet of my treatment fell short of reasonable expectations. I’m seriously disappointed. Orthodontic treatment is an investment of both time and financial resources and I expected a provider who is competent. I assumed that’s what I was paying for. I would highly suggest anybody considering orthodontic care to seek it elsewhere.

I don’t think I’ve met so many nice people in a working environment. truly the sweetest and caring when it comes to treating braces or Invisalign. I can say I had the best experience with all my appointments! Thank you :)
