The hygienist was thorough, recommending helpful products and dental care—she was right down to business, focusing on daily dental care, with limited discussion of non-dental subjects, which I appreciate. After the cleaning, Dr. Salik came in and he always explains things quite clearly. He talks to you like a friend.

I left with happy teeth and gums. Best dental care compared to other places, including out of state. Why isn’t this place packed?

Great environment. Amazing soundtrack to relax and loving and caring professionals, from the ladies at front to the staff working in the back of the office. Very human, they do not treat you like a customer, they treat you like a patient.

My mother's dentist said that she needed to go see a periodontist for some gum issues. Found Dr. Choi, and she has been pretty good. Pros: - Dr. Choi and her assistant are very nice.

- Kenya and Veronica at the front desk are awesome (especially considering how bad medical admin staff typically tend to be). Cons: - Not a fan of the office "manager". Gave us a breakdown of a very expensive procedure, but wound up having to pay significantly more out of pocket at the time of the actual procedure (*I'm well aware that the dental care business is far worse than the medical care business when it comes to coverages, pricing, etc, but the office manager could have offered up an apology or even some accountability). - I never go to any medical appointments "15 minutes early" as requested, because I don't know any doctor (medical or dentist) that sees patients on time. - Had to pay almost $400 for a splint, when my mother was eventually going to need a night guard anyway (which only costs $20-$100), and I only found out that my mom was going to need a night guard because I had called in to ask a follow-up question after her last appointment.

It would've been nice to know this info (and possibly save a few hundred dollars), as well as just knowing that a night guard would be needed ahead of time. Overall, it's a convenient office for those in the area, but billing practices and lack of information upfront is frustrating.

It is extremely unfortunate after being a patient for 36 years at Brookwood Dental Associates they would bill you $38.00 for a missed appointment. I would never recommend Brookwood Dental Associates to anyone again. The new ownership should have taken notes from the original owners on how to treat/keep their patients. Now I understand why the original Hygienist left.
