3/3/25 All of the previous dentists, hygienists and front staff left and it has become a horrible experience. No one was informed that they were leaving you show up to a new doctor/hygienist telling you that you NEED additional expensive services. All upselling treatments and now they refuse to give me my records without fees! Awful experience and treatment to a loyal patient of over 20 years.

Really terrible new operation! BEWARE! They appear to have great reviews but that's for the previous doctors and staff! The new crew is all about high pressure sales of deep cleanings and extra price gouging! previous 5 star review for DR. Schwartz from 2023 I've been going to bwpd for years, always good experiences and today I had to get a filling and a replace a 30 yr old crown and I was dreading it. Of course moments of unpleasant drilling but virtually painless and I walked out feeling fine! I can't believe just how little a big deal that was! Even the numbing wire off as I was leaving.

So relieved!

Saw Dr. Johnson and he is a new addition to this practice. He is absolutely amazing! Very sweet, explained me the procedure well and just pleasant to be around. I have anxiety going to the dentist but he made me feel very comfortable. If you go there ask to be seen by him. Thank you Dr. Johnson!!!!

Super rude staff. I was filling out my new client paperwork in-office, prior to my appointment, and I was being verbally attacked for not having it filled out ahead of time. This was all before my appointment and they were so rude. Do not go to this dentist, they do not know how to speak to paying customers. There are five other dentists nearby and all seem more professional.

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Johnson at Bucktown Wicker Park Dental. I came in with an old fixed/permanent retainer that had popped off halfway. It had been in my mouth since I got my braces off as a teenager. Dr. Johnson carefully removed it and all the old glue.

He fitted me for a new removable retainer also. The whole process was seamless. Everyone was great to be around and Dr. Johnson was a pro. He’s cute too!
