I’ve had ongoing issues since my last visit with Dr. Carey. The dentist advised that I get a root canal (even though there wasn’t any pain at the time)… he said it was a bad infection and would get worse, that we could do a filling… but SHOULD do a root canal for preventative measure. They dropped the temporary crown on the floor 2 times during the procedure, cleaned it up and shoved it in my mouth. I was in excruciating pain after the procedure, reminiscent of when I actually needed a root canal in the past- only this time it was AFTER a procedure they had done.

The temporary crown fell out, shortly after I had the permanent one placed… and the pain didn’t go away. I was then told the infection had spread and he’d need to make an incision along my gum to drain it. That’s when I stopped going to this dentist. It’s been hell to try and get this resolved with my new dentist- it’s a very bad infection. It’s an ongoing problem, and I wish I never took the dr Carey’s advice- I wish I switched dentists earlier.

🤷🏻‍♀️ ( got a notification of how much my positive review was “helping” others… so I had to edit my review since I realized the positive review no longer reflects the service. I would never recommend this dentist to a friend, or anyone for that matter! The other staff in the office is awesome, but at the end of the day the dentist just isn’t the best. )

I recently had horrible tooth pain and my dentist in Freehold retired and I needed to see someone immediately. My girlfriend recommended Carey family dentistry. I called them right away, Nicole was so accommodating and got me an appt quickly.

Dr Carey took care of me immediately and put me on an antibiotic to calm down the infection. He then saw me for a two part root canal, which is never easy, but Dr Carey used the utmost care during this tough procedure. I can’t recommend them enough!

Dr. Carey is amazing and takes his time. I’ve been going to him for a few years now and I am never disappointed. Nicole is great too, she is fun, caring and takes her time as well. Such a pleasure going there!
