Our experienced dental professionals are dedicated to providing you with the highest quality care.
I decided to choose Dr. Rawan Tannous as my dentist because I figured if Dr. Nancy Halsema chose her to sell to and carry on her practice, she had to be great. And I have to say the decision to go with Dr.
Tannous was one of my smarter moves! The office is so professional and friendly, and so up-to-date that I feel like I’m getting top-of-the-line dental care for sure. All points of contact have been good For me, and also my husband, who also decided to come to Dr. Tannous. Yesterday, I had a hole develop in my molar, darned raw carrot!), And the staff got me in and got it taken care of today! Carol, the administrative professional , very helpfully and graciously snagged a cancellation to be able to fit me in, Melissa, despite being the only assistant today, was gracious and efficient in prepping me and doing the bonding, and of course, Dr.
Tannous, explained clearly all my options, and what might be the best course of treatment. Her numbing technique is painfree, and I didn’t even fill the drill work to rough up the tooth so the bonding would stick. All in all, I haven’t had more fun at the dentist’s office or had a problem so expediently taken care of! My tongue is now happy this gaping hole is gone.

Our family went to Dr Halsema for many many years and have been very happy with Dr Tannous since she took over the practice. Dr Tannous and her staff go out of their way to take care of their patients in so many ways. They are thoughtful, kind, professional and efficient.
I’ve had some particular health challenges and they have been incredibly empathetic and accommodating. I cannot recommend this practice enough.

I have received nothing but the best treatment from Dr. Tannous and her team! As a new patient, I called her office one morning because I cracked my tooth the night before and was in a lot of pain, and they were able to get me in within the hour. She did her exam and determined it was from clenching my teeth/TMJ. She was able to refer me to an endodontist for a root canal who was able to see me that same day as well. Not only was I treated with the highest priority, but they also discussed insurance and payments in a way I’ve never had a dentist do.
There were no surprise costs. They worked with my insurance to ensure I got the best treatment for the lowest cost that they could offer. After years of jaw pain and chronic headaches, and as I continue to see her for cleanings and TMJ treatment, I can honestly say Dr. Tannous and her team have drastically improved my quality of life. And specifically today at my visit, Brenda was such a pleasure during my cleaning, and Dr.
Tannous and Viola as always brighten my day! The quality of care you get with Dr. Tannous and her team is truly unmatched. Being in healthcare myself, I truly appreciate that about them and give them my highest recommendation!

I have been a patient at this Carmel West Dentistry for almost two years. The overall environment of the office is welcoming, and the reception staff is always courteous and professional, creating a positive experience for patients. Dr. Tannous appears to be a kind and professional individual in her interactions with patients. However, since she has not personally performed any procedures on me—only briefly reviewing work done by another staff member—I cannot fully assess her expertise. During my first visit last year, my experience was generally positive, but I did observe some unprofessional conducts. The dental professional performing my procedure (apparently Aferican American) frequently paused midway, leaving the room to retrieve necessary tools that should have been prepared beforehand. This left me lying for extended periods, which was both uncomfortable and inefficient. Additionally, she loudly discussed my dental findings with Dr. Tannous from another room, which I found disrespectful and unprofessional.
Patient privacy should always be a priority, and such information should be recorded in the patient’s file rather than announced publicly. Unfortunately, my recent visit was even more disappointing. The same dental professional, who appeared reluctant to perform my cleaning, initially attempted to pass the task to another staff member. When that was not possible, she proceeded with my cleaning but continuously expressed reluctance by making remarks such as “Oh, Jesus, help me. ” Throughout the procedure, she frequently left the room, leaving me with my mouth open for prolonged periods. She completed only part of the cleaning while repeatedly stating that she did not want to continue. During the process, I began coughing (after alerting her) due to dryness from keeping my mouth open for an extended period and my already existing dry mouth condition. When I informed her that I needed a brief break, she reacted aggressively and abruptly stopped the procedure, stating loudly “I am not doing it”. At the reception desk, she further exhibited unprofessional behavior by openly discussing my dental condition in a rude and inappropriate manner. Such conversations should be handled with discretion to maintain patient dignity and privacy.
This experience left me feeling disrespected and shocked by the lack of professionalism. Patients seek dental care to improve their oral health, not to be treated with disregard or embarrassment. Given the high cost of dental visits, it is reasonable to expect professional and respectful service. Unfortunately, my recent experience has led me to the decision not to return to this facility. There are many other professionals who treat their patients with the care and respect they deserve. I strongly believe that the staff member in question should undergo further training to ensure a more patient-centered and professional approach to care. I would not recommend this office to others, or at the very least, I would advise avoiding this particular individual.
