Detailed Introduction
Center Street Community Health Center (CSCHC) is a well-established Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) located at 136 W Center St, Marion, OH 43302. Established in 1995, CSCHC has been a cornerstone of the Marion community, offering a wide array of integrated healthcare services under one roof. Their mission is to improve the health of the community by providing quality care while maintaining financial stability, with a vision to deliver primary medical, dental, behavioral health, and vision services to Marion, Morrow, and Crawford Counties and surrounding areas in an atmosphere that fosters dignity and respect.
CSCHC provides comprehensive primary care for all ages, including sick and well child visits, physicals, and immunizations. Beyond general medical services, they offer extensive dental care, from primary and emergency dental services to extractions, fillings, root canals, X-rays, and dentures/partials. Behavioral health services are a significant component of their offerings, with licensed independent social workers addressing anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship issues, and grief, along with outpatient psychiatry services including evaluation and medication management.
In addition to these core services, CSCHC also provides comprehensive eye exams, diabetic eye exams, medical eye exams, and urgent eye care, along with eyewear for the entire family. They also offer chiropractic adjustments to help with pain reduction and body alignment. Recently, CSCHC has expanded its services to include an in-house pharmacy with upcoming delivery options and has opened Center Street Market, a health food access point in downtown Marion, demonstrating their commitment to holistic community health.
A key aspect of CSCHC's philosophy is to remove barriers to high-quality healthcare. They serve all patients regardless of their insurance status, offering sliding fee scales for the uninsured and underinsured, prescription discounts through their 340-B program, and assistance with payment options. As an FQHC, they are deemed Public Health Service employees under the Federal Tort Claims Act, providing a level of assurance regarding their services. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM.
