Centerville Clinics is a prominent non-profit community-based health organization operating as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Founded in 1955 by a group of local unions who sought to bring quality medical care to underserved communities in western Pennsylvania, Centerville Clinics has grown significantly from its humble beginnings in a remodeled farmhouse to become the 5th largest FQHC out of 46 in the state. Yablonski Memorial Clinic), Bentleyville, California, Carmichaels, Charleroi, Connellsville, Fairchance, Republic, Uniontown, Washington, and Waynesburg. This widespread presence underscores their commitment to accessibility and convenience for patients in their service area. As an FQHC, Centerville Clinics adheres to strict federal reporting, performance, and accountability requirements. A crucial aspect of their model is providing services on a sliding fee discount program, ensuring that quality healthcare is accessible to eligible persons based on their household size and annual income, aligning with federal poverty income guidelines. They participate in most Managed Care programs and accept both Medicare and Medicaid Managed Care, further broadening access. The organization is governed by a Board of Directors, with at least 51% comprised of clinic patients, ensuring that patient needs and community feedback directly influence their operations. Centerville Clinics is recognized for its commitment to quality patient care, having received awards such as the Health Center Quality Leader designation from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
