Dr Slaten is absolutely wonderful. I was terrified of getting an upper denture but he advised me of everything he was doing and promised the procedure (1st removing 7 teeth) would be painless during that procedure.

And it was!!! That was my nightmare and he squashed it!!! Thank you to Dr Slaten!!! I will recommend you to everyone! ;) Morgan and the Assistant were also kind and very caring and that’s very important to me!

My husband came in on New Year’s Eve for an emergency visit with the dentist to get a tooth pulled. Registration, Morgan I believe her name is was fantastic. Dental hygienist came out to assure said it wasn’t going to take that much time. The communication was fantastic. Highly recommend this dentist office.

I recently (April 2025) had work done by Dr Ryan Slaten, and was left with nothing short of a mess to clean up after the fact. In July of 2024, I saw a different dentist in the practice. I had NO cavities but needed two old fillings replaced. Fast forward to April 2025 I had another cleaning and wanted to schedule those fillings with that same doctor. Wasn’t told until I arrived that day that the doctor was in FL and I’d be seeing Slaten…whom proceeded to tell me I had SIX cavities. I was quoted $1600 and scheduled it. Fast forward the day I arrived I was told of a new procedure using a laser. There is NO pain at all I was told and PROMISED. “Trust me” “I even use this on the kids” Slaten said. What a joke.

It was so very uncomfortable, like they were holding an ice cube to your nerve. It was so bad he started doing intervals of 20 seconds and then giving me a break to recoup. Until we reached a tooth that he drilled so hard it hit my nerve causing me to jump as his drill grabbed my cheek and tongue. I was told at that point the laser machine was not doing the job and he needed to numb my whole mouth anyway…I left telling him something wasn’t right, he stated “call me in a week if you still feel that way”. The visit cost me $2100. 00. Fast forward I saw him three times in two and a half weeks until he finally said the new filling needed to come out and be redone, it was placed to close to the nerve…it still wasn’t right. And I told him that. Two days later I called to say AGAIN I feel like I’m chewing aluminum foil, my teeth were suddenly hot and cold sensitive and the jaw pain was intense. I couldn’t eat.

Slaten then proceeded to tell me that my teeth were suddenly unfavorable to dental work and that I needed to see someone else, there is nothing more he can do, that I would need potential root canals on those teeth… his office staff gave me referrals. All were dead ends as they did not have openings for 30 days out, didn’t accept my insurance or… didn’t do root canals as his office stated. I feel very let down. I walked in with no pain at all and walked out with a mouth that feels like it doesn’t even belong to me. I don’t care that he’d stop my work and go see someone else while in the middle of mine. I don’t care that his office staff made fun of my name thinking I couldn’t hear them. But I do care that I paid thousands, and was told in the end to see someone else. That absolutely sucks.

Dr. Slaten is knowledgeable, gentle, and thorough in his dental practice. Being a “victim” of dentistry in the 50s and 60s I truly appreciate his use of the latest techniques. The staff is equally kind and friendly. They have taken the dread out of visiting the dentist.
