My experience with Charm City Dental was awful. I had a cavity in a tooth with a crown. They told me I needed a crown lengthening (where they cut a piece of your gums off to make the tooth surface longer-- this takes weeks of appointments and weeks of healing) and a new crown. I got a second opinion, and the dentist was able to save the existing crown and fill the tooth in 10 min.

Also, they wouldn't schedule me for a cleaning. They say they don't schedule 6 months in advance and that they would call me to schedule the cleaning and never did.

I had not been to the dentist since going onto a new insurance plan. Unfortunately, the timing would be that I cracked a tooth before making it for my regular 6 month appointment. I called over to Charm City Dental - which was the provider assigned by my HMO. I was told that they could not see me until August and that they only give immediate openings to current patients.

I have never had a provider suggest I wait 1 month for a dental emergency - new patient or not. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

As a new patient they were going to have me wait six months but ended up having a cancellation and getting me in the week I called. They were very friendly and the cleaning was quick. They also took my insurance and checked to make sure I was covered before doing an additional fluoride treatment.

I've been going to Charm City Dental for a few years, and everyone there has been extremely helpful and friendly. I've rarely had to wait more than a few minutes for my appointment, which I also appreciate. Basically, they make my 6-month checkups as easy as they could be. I highly recommend them!
