Dr. Farshey is the absolute BEST DENTIST I've ever experienced. I love this practice. I had an acute tooth infection over night. I called 5 places at 6am and only the Chevy Chase Endodontics provided an on-call dentist for emergencies. I received a call back within 30 minutes, and was seen by 11am. Due to the severity of my infection, Dr Farshey made the best decision and advised I go to the emergency room to get it drained.

Dr. Farshey and his staff took the time to see ME, someone who was scared and worried about what was happening. His staff member, Sima txted me throughout the day to check on my status. Within days, I saw Dr. Farshey again to go over my options. He laid out a clear plan of care and provided me with all of my options. Here is what I love about him and his staff.

They took the time to be with me. A patient in pain, crying, and scared. I knew immediatably that at that moment, I was important. If you are looking for a dentist, a place where you can feel comfortable and trust the hands that are operating on you, this is the only place I would recommend. I will be referring my entire network to Dr. Farshey!

I’m 64, and I have persistent issues with my teeth resulting from extensive radiation treatments in the past. In the last couple of years I’ve required multiple difficult root canals. “Root canal” is a term that intimidates people. It’s more unnerving (intentional pun) than normal dental work. Really, it’s oral surgery. I can honestly say that in multiple procedures in recent years, most recently just this past Thursday 12/30, Dr. Farshey has successfully performed root canals (Thursday’s was epic - 3 roots and 4 canals on a rear upper molar) without a moment’s discomfort.

I needed ONE 600 MG IBUPROFIN after the procedure and never needed another one. And my mouth is especially difficult for any dentist or Endodontist because all the radiation I’ve had tightened all my jaw muscles permanently and I can’t “open wide” like normal people can. He has really reinvented and mastered the procedure using super high-tech equipment and his own formidable skills. He is absolutely amazing. In addition, he has one of the nicest, kindest, gentlest demeanors of any physician I’ve known, and as a retired FDA and hospital exec I’ve known literally hundreds. If you need a root canal, he’s your guy. I wouldn’t go anywhere else, and you shouldn’t either.

I drive 3 hours from Delaware to see him as I’m fully retired now and I’d drive a lot farther if I had to. Lastly, somehow everyone on his staff is as nice as Dr. Farshey. There are not enough stars in the sky to rate this doctor in my opinion. Marc Bloom, Bethany Beach, DE

It seems odd to rave about having a root canal but if you have to have one, Dr Farshey and his staff will make this the most pleasant and successful experience possible. If anyone can save your tooth or make this painless, Dr. Farshey can and does---and his staff will make you very comfortable. I've been here twice and I don't think there is any endodontist better in the world!
