Detailed Introduction

Church Health Services, Inc. is a well-established Christian-based non-profit healthcare organization located at 115 N Center St, Beaver Dam, WI 53916. Founded in 1993 by a physician and a pastor, it operates as an ecumenical health ministry with a vision of a community where everyone has access to quality healthcare. The organization's core mission is to provide essential dental, mental health, and medical services specifically for low-income, uninsured, and underinsured individuals and families in South Central Wisconsin. They embody a "whole-person" approach to care, integrating physical, mental, and spiritual well-being into their services. Church Health Services offers a range of comprehensive clinical services. Their medical clinic provides primary and some specialty care, with walk-in clinics available for uninsured patients needing immediate attention. Dental services include comprehensive exams, cleanings, x-rays, fillings, extractions, and root canals. Mental health services are offered by appointment to qualifying adults, adolescents, and children, covering counseling and AODA (Alcohol and Other Drug Addictions) counseling, with some children's counseling also provided in school districts. A significant aspect of their model is accessibility and affordability. Patients pay fees on a sliding scale based on their income and family size, ensuring care is within reach for those facing financial challenges. They are heavily supported by a dedicated staff and over 100 volunteers, including healthcare professionals, who contribute to delivering high-quality care. Beyond direct clinical services, Church Health Services is committed to community engagement and prevention. They partner with local congregations to promote health and healing, and their work aligns with the broader Church Health organization's emphasis on prevention and wellness programs, though the specific details of "The Well" program are associated with the Memphis-based Church Health. They also actively seek to re-involve the church and wider community in cooperative efforts for health and healing, symbolized by their logo which combines church stained-glass windows within a medical cross. Church Health Services is a 501(c)(3) organization, relying on charitable funding, donations, and community partnerships to sustain its operations and expand its reach. Their long-standing presence and commitment to serving vulnerable populations highlight their significant impact on public health in the Beaver Dam area and surrounding South Central Wisconsin communities.

First and foremost finding a dentist that is less than 2 hrs away from me that takes my insurance or without a long wait time is rare. I had an ongoing dental issue for months and a friend recommended this location and out of desperation I called. Valerie the receptionist was so kind and willing to hear my dilema and was able to get me scheduled in a months time. Well today was my appointment and I was blown away. From the moment I got there I felt welcomed, secure by their safety measures for covid and instantly my anxiety was minimizing.

The dental assistant and the dentist himself were so kind, non judgemental and beyond thorough. I ended up having to get a tooth extracted and it was the best experience possible. This place is truly a blessing especially for those with state insurance where care is minimal. I am so grateful for their care and compassion! Thank You!

I've gone twice now. They are very nice and caring. They have gone beyond and made sure they were doing the right thing for my front tooth to save it. I had an accident and it went 3/4 into my gums. They pulled it down and set it. I got to keep my tooth. This time there was bone loss in that area and they set it so it won't be sensitive anymore. Very caring employees.

first off i wish i could give them 10 stars! i saw dr Ron yesterday to have a tooth extracted, let me add that i have EXTREME dental phobia. when i walked back to the area where the performances are done i was a complete wreck and im talking full blown panic attack. he and his assistant both assured me that they would do everything in their power to make sure that i felt comfortable and that when asking me to do things he would always say please and thank you, which he did, and that he wouldn't do anything until i was ready and comfortable.

now for someone like me with extreme dental phobia they made me as comfortable as they could. he used a technique of wiggling my cheek as he administer the numbing and i honestly didn't even feel the pinch of the needle. the extracting of my tooth was as comfortable as it could possibly be and to add his assistant was the absolute sweetest she held my hand through the whole thing.

i was so beyond thankful for him and his assistant for everything they did for me, i honestly couldnt have seen a better dentist and i agreed to come back in august to get a few more teeth taken care of! i had the best dental experience there! and of course i can"t forget to mention the two girls at the reception desk are just the sweetest!

Not child friendly. I know there's a waiting list at all state assistant pediatric dental facilities, but you are better off finding a place that is willing to take payments than bringing them here.
