Detailed Introduction

Cincy Smiles Foundation, originally established in 1909 as The Free Dental Clinic, is a long-standing non-profit organization committed to improving the oral health of residents in Greater Cincinnati, particularly those affected by poverty, who are medically fragile, disabled, or veterans. Their mission is to ensure that all members of the community have access to vital oral health education, disease prevention, and treatment services. Cincy Smiles operates through various programs and services, including their main Dental Centers (like the McMicken Dental Center, a state-of-the-art seven-chair facility), and the innovative Dental Road Crew (DRC). The DRC is a team of dental professionals who travel with portable equipment to schools, rehabilitation centers, juvenile detention centers, and other social service agencies, providing on-site dental care to students and clients who might otherwise face barriers to access. They also run Sealant Teams that visit schools to apply sealants to children's molars and provide oral hygiene instructions. Furthermore, Cincy Smiles Foundation administers the Dental OPTIONS Program in Southern Ohio, which connects individuals in need with volunteer dentists who provide deeply discounted or pro bono comprehensive dental treatment. This program is designed for those without dental insurance or who are not eligible for Medicaid, or for specific cases not covered by Medicaid (e.g., orthodontics for children, dentures). Their services are comprehensive, including exams, cleanings, fluoride treatments, fillings, root canals, extractions, and dental prostheses like dentures and crowns. Cincy Smiles Foundation has a strong history of community partnerships, working with volunteer dentists, government agencies, corporations, and individual donors to achieve their mission. They emphasize a holistic approach to health, with their school-based dental centers often integrated into community learning centers, acting as hubs for various support services. The organization has made a significant impact, serving thousands of individuals annually and actively working to reduce untreated dental decay in the region.

Absolutely amazing! The staff are nice and make you feel comfortable. I checked in at 8:05 and got my x rays, tooth pulled, another appointment scheduled and was back in my car by 8:20. I have never been more happy to go to a dentist.

I want to thank the staff and doctors for giving me a beautiful smile. I really love my dentures. They have given my confidence back. Keep up the good work😊

My daughter had alot of teeth pulled in one day, she was in a tremendous amount of pain. She called the dentist and he told her to go to her primary physician. This is unheard of to me. She went to the ER where they gave her a strong antibiotic for an infection and she had a dry socket. That dentist needs his license revoked. Absolutely horrible experience!!

Worst experience I have ever had in a dental office. I went to see them back in November due to an infected tooth, they gave antibiotics, did and a scan and scheduled extraction. Go in for follow up for them to tell me their systems had been hacked. They ask me to write my name and number down and say they’ll call when everything is running again- that never even happens . I go back in a few months later to get it taken care of and they tell me that they have no record of ever seeing me and that they have to treat me as a new patient so repeat of scans and antibiotics (marking my 3rd round as I also had an ER trip) . Accidents happen, whatever I go along with it . Claims of course are submitted and I find that while they says they have no record they are billing my insurance for both visits (not cool as we all know there are limits to coverage and my insurance now says I owe them for this) I had to call three different times to speak with someone about submitting a corrected claim.

The third time I reach someone by the name of Brandi who says the only thing she sees from nov is an evaluation. (1. If that’s the case why was I treated like a new patient. And 2. Why is my insurance billing me for radiographic work?) instead of letting me finish , she talks over me, yells in my ear and hangs up the phone , leaving me where yet again I’m scrambling to clean up their mess to make sure I can have the tooth extracted That’s needed and make sure it’s covered . I’m now appealing with the insurance as I don’t trust she will even do what she said she would as her tune changed when in was my insurance carrier on the other line, now claiming that she will correct the claim. (Insurance fraud) Unprofessional.

Lacks accountability . Rude . I saw a new dentist, Bridgetown dentistry, they got me in within less than a week . They reiterated that the scans they even sent were USELESS as it didn’t even have the entire tooth in the image and that given the current state of my tooth it will require oral surgery and cannot be easily pulled , So they’re not very good at what they do either. Between both visits and the fact that I’ve been walking around with an abscess in my mouth for seven months due to their patient neglect I have started the process of filing a complaint with the board of density and have also been given the number of a malpractice lawyer that I’ll be contacting for coverage of the surgery needed . I urge you not to go here.
