The dental hygienist needs to work on being a little more gentle in the patient's mouth. I normally have nitrous oxide when I have a dental appointment due to being so claustrophobic and yet when I got there discovered that doctor wasn't even in the clinic so they couldn't do nitrous oxide. The person in the bay next to mine had the same problem.

She was asking about getting the nitrous started and that's when she found out that there was no doctor in the house so that she couldn't have the nitrous oxide. I think patients need to be screened when a doctor's going to be out of the office to make sure that we're not missing something that makes the patients experience more acceptable.
