Detailed Introduction

The Community Dental Clinic, located at 2811 New Hartford Rd Suite A, Owensboro, KY 42303, is a vital healthcare provider dedicated to offering high-quality, basic dental services to underserved populations in the Owensboro and surrounding Green River district areas. Established in 2009, the clinic specifically targets low-income individuals and families who qualify for Medicaid or do not have primary dental providers or commercial dental insurance. In a significant move to expand its reach and services, the Community Dental Clinic entered into a partnership with the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in January 2024. Under this collaboration, the University of Louisville has assumed operational management of the clinic, which is now also known as "Community Dental Clinic In Cooperation With UofL Dental Care." This partnership allows for increased resources and staffing, including the rotation of UofL School of Dentistry students who provide care under the supervision of licensed dentists, fostering both community service and practical learning experiences. The clinic offers a wide range of dental procedures, including routine exams, x-rays, cleanings, periodontal exams, restorative fillings, extractions, and root canal treatments. A strong emphasis is placed on preventative education to promote long-term oral health. They are known for accepting Medicaid and for their sliding scale fee structure based on income, making dental care more affordable and accessible to those in need. The Community Dental Clinic has received recognition for its dedication to delivering dental care, including the Kentucky Outstanding Office Award. Their mission extends beyond immediate treatment, aiming to change mindsets towards preventative oral care within families and help individuals improve their overall well-being by alleviating dental pain.

This place should be shut down. They drilled and filled a tooth a few years ago. The filling was not completed there was a little hole left behind. I complained about it being there and the gaslighted me about it. A few years later there is now tooth decay around the partial filling like I expected to happen.

I went to them again to see if they could try to fix it and they said there's nothing wrong with that tooth and gas lighted me about it again. I will be reporting this dentist to my insurance company. I hope eventually something can be done about it.

I’m not normally one to complain, I’m usually very understanding. However, I had a buccal cavity filled three times because the filling kept falling out. After the third filling, I began having excruciating pain in the area roughly five weeks post-filling. I called March 4th and left a voicemail to let them know so that I could get in to be seen. Their voicemail says to allow 24-48 hrs for a call back and not to leave multiple messages. I waited two days, never received a call back. I called again on March 6th and left another voicemail.

To keep it short and sweet, I ended up calling and getting an appointment with a dentist out of network to have them look at my tooth. I paid out of pocket for an extraction (needed a root canal but couldn’t afford it), and still NEVER received a call back from this clinic until today. They called back after a month, not to address my voicemails but to confirm my upcoming appointment on Monday. Hilarious. Absolutely not.

I've got a massive tooth infection and these clowns told me I'd have to get it pulled. I called around all the places that they recommended and none of them were willing to take me in. I finally got a hold of the place that was willing to pull my tooth on the 25th in Madisonville. They told me to cancel that appointment because they were going to pull my tooth on the 27th.

I went in on the 27th and they said they could pull my tooth I don't know why they lured me into their office for no reason. I'm pretty mad I could have had my tooth pulled on the 25th now I got to deal with all these clowns and finding appointment with the three dentists in their Network that probably won't see me until September. They lured me into their office for nothing and probably billed my insurance now I have to suffer for a couple months.
