This review is long overdue but must be shared. I visited this clinic for a a consultation on needing a root canal back in 2016. I had recently had the procedure performed by a dentist in another state, however, it seemed they missed a canal and I was still in pain. New to DC and a student, I sought services at Community of Hope dental clinic due to their low pricing. The clinic confirmed my tooth would need a root canal “re-do” but they ALSO said that the two teeth next to the tooth in question would need root canals as well. This was perplexing to me as I had zero pain in these two teeth.

They said they could not do the root canals at their clinic but instead referred me to another clinic they work with. When asking them why they could not do the root canals at COH, no one could give me a clear answer. The reviews for the place they wanted to send me to were horrible. And I soon found out why— I did NOT need the two extra root canals they were suggesting. I received a second consult who told me that those other two teeth were PERFECTLY healthy. This was a scam and I almost ruined two perfectly good teeth as a result.

This is unacceptable practice, especially for a clinic that claims to help people who may perhaps not be able to afford dental care elsewhere. I would NOT use this clinic and, if you do, be sure to get a second opinion before having any significant work done. This agency should be audited and an extensive investigation done on their practices.
