Compass Health Network Mobile Dental Bus

The Compass Health Network Mobile Dental Bus is an initiative by Compass Health Network, a comprehensive nonprofit healthcare organization operating throughout Missouri. This mobile unit, established in the Fall of 2019, is designed to overcome transportation barriers and provide essential dental services directly to communities, including schools and other outreach locations. The overarching goal is to ensure accessible and quality oral healthcare for children and adults, aligning with Compass Health Network's broader mission of whole-person care, which integrates behavioral health, primary care, and dental services. The Mobile Dental Bus offers a range of services, including basic exams, X-rays, cleanings, fluoride applications, and sealants for preventive care. Beyond prevention, it also provides restorative treatments such as fillings, stainless steel crowns, and extractions. This comprehensive approach aims to address immediate dental needs while promoting long-term oral health. The program has expanded from a single unit to a fleet of five, reaching various regions across Missouri and actively partnering with school districts through programs like the Third Grade Education Program, which focuses on hands-on learning about oral hygiene. Compass Health Network, as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is committed to serving individuals regardless of their income or insurance status, offering sliding fee scales for those without coverage and accepting major health insurance plans, Medicare, and Medicaid.
