I came to the clinic in an emergency situation. CDG accommodated me the same day. Dr. Abigail Page and her dental assistant painlessly performed the necessary corrective procedure.

I felt most comfortable throughout the procedure. When it was all over, I looked at the time. Surprise, surprise! The work was completed in less than 45 minutes! I am pain free, and the gum swelling has receded to almost nothing. Thank you, Dr Page!

Vince & Gillian Gagnier

After being committed as a lifelong patient of this family dentistry, I have sadly had to move on due to unforeseen circumstances. Having had extremely healthy and blessed dental health, that too has unfortunately ceased. After a life of zero cavities, no braces, textbook bite and healthy overall dental health, I went on to develop a cavity below the gum line. Likely due to a dip in the gums, possible recession in that area. A small cavity I was told… and an easy fix; a small filling and away I went (April 12). Except it wasn’t. After the filling… I experienced sensitivity to heat and cold, discomfort in that area, continued to avoid chewing in that area. I thought, perhaps it’s just me, after-all this was my first issue with dental health. I was naive maybe. Maybe fillings take time to heal. So three weeks passes. By May 3, I’m still having symptoms. This can’t be right. I carry on as I’m told it will go away. May 5 I go in to develop a headache… probably stress related. May 6… I’m now feeling jaw pain! That cannot be normal. So I call the dental office and present on May 10 to have it checked out. I sit, I explain my new onset of symptoms which I am still experiencing at this point. I’m told it’s probably nothing, dentist puts some sealant on it and recommends I rub sensitive type toothpaste on it at night. It should fine he says. No X-ray or exam to assess. And away I go. Trusting that it’s fine, it’s just me.

So, once again a week goes by, then another week. Still jaw pain, worsening sensitivity, ongoing headaches. I’m beginning to feel generally unwell. By May 19, I’m now unwell. I’m tired. May 22 is a holiday but I call the office and leave a message anyway… I’m in a pain crisis! Sensitivity has disappeared, completely gone. But the pain increased to an indescribable, unbearable amount. I cannot eat, I cannot drink, it hurts to speak, swallow, spit. Anything and everything hurt. I wait until the next day, May 23. I called the office again and spoke with the receptionist. I explained the situation. I cried. I begged and pleaded for help. I was offered suggestions for relief… I was obviously past the point of home remedies. I explained I was taking Aleve as well as Tylenol (with Caffeine and 8mg Codeine)… I’m told to stop taking Tylenol as this is known not to work for tooth pain… I attempted to explain why I was taking the Tylenol (for the caffeine and codeine part, since I couldn’t drink coffee and codeine helped the pain). She was not hearing me, she spoke over me. I was NOT being heard. I’m then told my dentist is not in today. She’ll have to speak to the dentist coming in but not until 10am (it’s 0800 at this point). So instead of just booking me in as an urgent need, she asks me to wait until just after 10am. I agree to wait for her to speak to the dentist “to see what he can do”… In the meantime, I have already spoken with my boys dental office, Dr. Jezdic, who had so graciously offered to help and asked me to come in at 11.

And they offered only after speaking to them briefly about my situation. Without any hesitation, no questions asked, they told me, just come in. I did want to give my lifelong dental office a chance, so I waited. 10:35 comes and goes. No return call , I’m promised, from my dentist office. So away I went to Dr. Jezdics office. I was seen, X-ray done and given antibiotics as well as Toradol for pain with an urgent referral to the oral surgeon for emergency extraction. My tooth was unable to be saved. The “small” filling was in fact a decent size, and was quite close if not pressing on the nerve. Nerve was now dead, hence the cease of sensitivity and increase in pain. Infection brewing, which went on to abscess. What an absolute disaster for a simple “tiny” cavity. I went on to the oral surgeon and now my second last molar is gone. Only if my own lifelong dental team had just… listened. Thank you to Dr. Jezdic and the dental team (especially Jill who is always ready to help). Thank you for hearing me. I have since left Dental Connections and will continue on with Dr. Jezdic and the team.
