Cornerstone Care Community Health Center of Greensboro is part of Cornerstone Care, a non-profit network of Federally Qualified Community Health Centers (FQHCs). Founded over 40 years ago, Cornerstone Care has grown from a single nurse practitioner office in Greensboro, PA, to multiple locations and mobile units serving Southwestern Pennsylvania and Northern West Virginia. Their mission is to improve the health of their patients and the residents of the communities they serve, with a special focus on the underserved, including the uninsured, low-income individuals, children, working families, and rural residents. Cornerstone Care is governed by a volunteer board of directors, with a majority being patients themselves, ensuring a patient-centered approach to care. Cornerstone Care offers a comprehensive range of primary and preventative health care services. These include: Family Medicine: Providing essential care for patients of all ages, from preventive check-ups and wellness visits to managing chronic conditions and care for minor illnesses and injuries. This also includes immunizations, health screenings, and family planning services. Pediatrics: Complete care for infants, children, and teens, including well-child visits, vaccinations, and sick care. Dental Services: Comprehensive dental care including exams, cleanings, fillings, crowns, root canals, X-rays, preventive care, and oral health education. Pediatric dentistry is available at some locations. Vision Services: Comprehensive eye exams, glasses, and contact lens fittings. Behavioral Health/Psychiatry & Counseling: Offering support for a wide range of mental health needs for children, teens, and adults, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, individual, family, and group counseling, and telehealth options. Chiropractic Care: Services to alleviate discomfort and improve movement, addressing back, neck, and joint pain. Podiatry: Care for foot and ankle conditions, including diabetic foot care and injury treatment. Mobile Services: Cornerstone Care operates mobile medical and dental units that deliver essential healthcare services directly to schools, businesses, and community locations, aiming to remove transportation barriers and make care more convenient. Pharmacy Services: A community pharmacy is available at their Mt. Morris location. As an FQHC, Cornerstone Care is committed to providing affordable care. They accept most private and public insurance plans, including Medical Assistance and Medicare, and offer a sliding fee discount program based on a patient's income and ability to pay.
