I have been a patient of cosmetic and general dentistry since Dr. Joel Scheir began his practice. He was my first dentist as I reached “adult status!” A former colleague in new City recommended Dr. Scheir when I was working in New city. Although my career path lead me further away (Westchester), I continued my loyalty to Dr. Scheir! He had the most current technology, instruments, features, techniques, throughput the decades. He gave me earphones for music (to block out the sound of the drill!). He gave me “laughing gas” until I told him, “ok, I don’t care anymore) lol. I was fortunate to be blessed with healthy teeth. Dr. Scheir NEVER encouraged me to do anything that was unnecessary.

When I did want to change my silver childhood fillings to white, we did one at a time every summer. No pressure. However, my vanity for good teeth enabled my teeth to remain healthy, without ever needing “root canals”, crowns, etc. all of which friends,my age are dealing with frequently. Dr Scheir educated me about preventative medicine. People need to realize they’re going to have to pay minimally “to prevent!” Or pay “maximally to fix! And I just can’t get over the teeth problems my friends (and husband) have had, and will continue to go through! When Dr. Joel Scheir retired, I was nervous!! Until…. he introduced me to his daughter, Dr. Dani. An incredible dentist in her own right, who began working alongside her dad. He taught her everything she needed to know about modern dentistry, new cosmetic dental treatments and practices, equipment, etc.

By the time Dr. Dani took over the practice, I felt just as confident in her as I had been in her dad for 30 years. Their services were worth me driving from Westchester to Rockland for decades. NOW, I have moved to Florida. Dr. Dani and staff are worth my flights back to NY and home again to Florida! Obviously, you’ve come to realize how important my teeth are to me and the extent I will go to in order to take good care of them. General and cosmetic dentistry of New City gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️stars from me, for each decade! I’ll stop at my rave reviews…but I could share so many upsetting dental stories that my friends and families have experienced (who do not go to Dr. Dani Scheir! (Unnecessary fillings, root canals, crowns, pulled teeth, crowns, etc! Fortunately I got it right the first time by recognizing and choosing honest, genuine, top of their profession dentists! Most recently, Thank you for coordinating my check up and cleaning on the one day I was going to be in NY last week! Always a great, friendly, organized, efficient managerial staff, as well. I APPRECIATE YOU! 🦷⭐️

Cosmetic & general dentistry of New City has the latest technology  with a caring and efficient staff. Dr Dani got my teeth back in alignment in under a year with clear aligner therapy. I was so happy with the result. Denise is the best hygienist I’ve ever had! Extremely thorough and gives pain-free cleanings. Thanks to everyone for keeping me healthy!
