Detailed Introduction

The CSN Dental Faculty Practice is the official dental clinic associated with the College of Southern Nevada's (CSN) Department of Dental Sciences. Situated at the Charleston Campus in Las Vegas, Nevada, it operates as a non-profit entity with a dual mission: to deliver accessible and high-quality dental care to the wider community and to provide invaluable hands-on training for students enrolled in CSN's Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting programs. This unique model allows patients to receive comprehensive dental services at more affordable rates, often significantly lower than private practices, especially for underserved populations and those without extensive financial means or insurance. The practice explicitly offers discounted fees for CSN students, employees, veterans, and seniors, demonstrating its commitment to community welfare. The services provided by CSN Dental Faculty Practice are comprehensive and include: Check-up and evaluation services: Routine oral examinations to assess overall dental health. Cleanings: Professional dental cleanings to remove plaque and tartar. Restorative procedures: Fillings, crowns, bridges, and veneers. Endodontics: Root canal treatments. Prosthodontics: Dentures (partial and complete) and dental implants. Periodontics: Treatment for gum disease. Oral surgery: Including extractions and other surgical interventions. Cosmetic services: Teeth whitening/bleaching. Pediatric dental care: Dental services tailored for children. Treatment of pain, disease, and injury: Addressing various dental ailments. A key aspect of the Dental Faculty Practice is its role as a learning environment. Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting students gain practical experience by participating in patient care under the direct supervision of licensed and experienced faculty dentists and hygienists. This ensures that while the services are affordable, they maintain high standards of quality and are delivered with meticulous oversight. Patients benefit from the thoroughness of treatment often associated with a teaching clinic. The CSN Dental Faculty Practice is committed to patient well-being, adhering to strict infection control recommendations from organizations like the American Dental Association (ADA), CDC, and OSHA. They also prioritize transparency in pricing, advising patients of all fees prior to service and accepting various payment methods, including cash, checks, money orders, and major credit cards. They are in-network with many dental insurance providers, including Medicaid and several Medicare supplements, and partner with organizations like The Wellness Group and The Ryan White Foundation to extend their reach. The practice contributes to the overall oral health of Southern Nevada, particularly through its community service initiatives and collaborations with other health science programs. It plays a vital role in educating future dental professionals and increasing access to essential dental care in the region.

Located on the CSN Campus (College of Southern Nevada) on W Charleston, Las Vegas..I highly recommend!! Professional, appropriate & caring staff!! Great experience. **I went to CSN for a second opinion after an outrageous care, plan & fees at ANOTHER dentist.

Today was my first bad experience at this office. I had no clue that the dentist was ordering white fillings for my teeth. With my insurance, fillings are no copay, but with this type of filling it's a major copay. So imagine my surprise at check out. The dentist said I was getting prior authorization for 2 bridges, not this type of filling. So, the receptionist said that on my authorization it was approved for the fillings and pointed to what it's called.

I looked at her and said I do not work for a dentist I do not know what these mean and I was told I was getting prior auth for bridges. She just kept on going about her job. Nothing apologetic, no customer service to see what can be done. So I'm getting billed almost $300 because of no communication. They had a great receptionist named Gretchen who always explained what the dentist was going to do. They let go of an amazing hygentist named Steve, they let go of Gretchen due to new management and wanting more "diversity".

I will only see the hygentist Lisa, the only dentist I will see is Davis or Mavroidis, untill management lets them go to because their experience and absolute care for patients doesn't fit their narrative. I know dental insurance coverage sucks because companies treat you like the work you need is cosmetic, that's why copays and coinsurance is high, but come on, my bridges are going to cost over $1000. 00 and this office took away payment programs. This office is all business now, no customer service. I miss you Steve and Gretchen!

I went there for a cleaning and the price was competitive. The dental hygienist competent and thorough. The Dentist I saw prior to my cleaning was really nice. This place doesn't scam you. I had been to 2 dentists prior to this who insisted I needed a deep cleaning at $450+.

In addition they over diagnosed what needed to be done. So I now appreciate an honest dentist. They are price competitive which I appreciate. I paid cash but not sure what insurance if any they accept.

CSN School of Dentistry, do not go to get treatment here. My experience has brought me to the evaluation of less than zero out of ten. I spent a fortune getting a lot of work, including bridges, crowns and filings. Two years ago we moved to Boston and I got to see a true dentist who knows what he is doing. All of my bridges are leaking and have to be replaced after only three years. How is it possible you ask? The dentistry is lacking professionalism, quality, and people in Las Vegas are in real trouble.

The dentist here explained how in Las Vegas, the dentists are trying to save money by outsourcing the lab work. Since the bridges did not fit well he should have sent them back to be redone, instead he put them on trying to push me along. It is now costing me over fifteen thousand dollars for three implants and more to come. Be warned, go out of state.
