I had to have a crown, and Dr Burke treated me for that, $1100. 00. My insurance only paid $200, and when I questioned this, both Dr, Burke and his receptionist checked my insurance and confirmed this was all that my insurance would pay. However, when I had another dental problem, and was worried I would need another crown, while looking up what my co-pay might be, I discovered that Dr.
Burke was outside of my network! and did not tell me this! I was paying 30% more to this first time dentist who took over my old dentists practice. I consider this dishonest, and I feel for his other patients who might also be mis-informed by this dentist and his office staff. New patients, beware!

The dental hygienists are very kind, but the dentist however. . . . eh. I went to him for a wisdom teeth removal consult. He was describing the process to me and said how it probably wouldn’t be too hard on me but the recovery would. He then said “That’s the thing about little white girls, you can just cut them open and pop ‘em out.
Black girls do worse during the removal, but they’re less whiny during recovery. ” It seemed like such an odd conversation to bring race into, and an unprofessional way of speaking to patients. Editing to add this since the owner responded- this is not a fake review or troll. This is genuine. I went to a surgeon for my procedure so I could be put under for it instead, as well as the uncomfortable situation with this doctor. I have nothing to gain by leaving a review on a dentistry, I’m giving my honest experience. This happened two years ago and he may not have remembered but I had never forgot it, and I switched dentistry’s because of it.

It started over a 1 yr ago when I went in with a chipped and infected tooth... Dr. Butke and his staff have been very kind, helpful and very pleasant to visit as Dr. Burke got me back on track. I have recommended him to friends who have been very pleased with his services and excellent staff. I will continue to recommend him to anyone who is in need of an excellent dentist.

Unfortunately, I am no longer going to be going to this office for my dental needs. Cleaning went well, but they found that I had many cavities, I wasn’t surprised though, due to the fact I haven’t been to the dentist in years due to Covid. Hygienists were nice, Assistants were also nice, and Dr. Burke was pleasant as well and explained the process to me at ever filling. The issue I am having is the billing. Every time I left the office my amount due would get higher and higher, even if I got the same service.
When I asked the receptionist why, she couldn’t give me an answer. I would then get mysterious bills in the mail for services I already paid for in the office! When asked again for an explanation of my bill, the receptionist cannot give me an answer. I find this to be dishonest. Although my actual experience was great, beware of the billing and fees you have to pay at the end of your visit. Never had this issue at the previous office I went to before Covid.
